Canada jointly are offering preparatory courses for PMP/CAPM, Six Sigma, Lean Management and Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation. The course are designed for professionals to carve solution to the contemporary issues of management. Six Sigma Certification allow the indiv

idual to identify the root cause of the problem, eliminate defects in the given process, avoid process variation and waste, standardize the process, address the key business requirements, and help organization to gain competitive advantage. Lean Management focuses on the concept of upgrading system on the basis of change dynamics of time, In this course, individual would be exposed to TPS, Muda, Mura, Muri, Kaizen, 5S and others so that students may be certified lean mangers. Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation or ITILF are standardized set of practices that leads to management of I.T operations and optimizing their output. ITIL implementation results in value generation while considering people and processes. It allows the organization to establish a baseline from which it can plan, implement, and measure. It is used to demonstrate compliance and to measure improvement. PMP® Training is designed to provide individual with education of Project Management in compliance with PMBOK, which is not only a prerequisite to appear in PMP Exam but it also gives foundation for the system thinking for Project Management. Conducted a portfolio mangement workshop over this weekend . Participant was a seasoned professional from pharma industry who is pursuing a PhD on the subject of project management . She joined from Atlanta Georgia , USA and some useful discussions were hall mark of this workshop. She specially liked the real world examples highlighted to show how portfolio management concepts find application in successful corporations like Apple Inc.

Lean Management is seen as useful approach to reduce waste and increase flow of the processes which increases value for customers.
Enjoyed conducting this week the 2 days live virtual workshop on the subject of Lean for participants joining in from UK and Canada. Heartening to note that knowledge gained. by students was of practical value to them as it provided guidance to bring about improvements in their area of work through tools like Kaizen, TPM, SMED, Poke Yole, Pugh Matrix, etc.

The following poem is dedicated to all my 6th Aeronautical Engineering course (G-6) mates of PAF who graduated on 26 Jan 1974 and celebrate the golden jubilee of that momentous day:

On 50th Anniversary of G-6 Passing Out

As gentle breeze from creek around
Blew across korangi parade ground
Marched this group with glory and pride
With swinging arms and feet in stride.

Our passing out on tunes of band
Indeed offered a spectacle grand.

The guests and parents fondly eyed
This parade and happily sighed
At graceful marching cadets file -
That made them wear widest of smile .

The finale was the final term fallout
With a slow March ending in hurrah shout
Thus we cadets passed out as officers new
To lead our unit’s men and crew.

Though fifty years have now gone by
Those memories remain lucid and nigh.

We in-step will stay honoring that day
Till comes our time to fade away,
To join comrades no more around
Yet whose thoughts with us we always found.

As we all pray and to Allah bow
May he upon us best blessings bestow.

Past 3 days were gainfully spent conducting CAPM workshop on CAPM ..The participants joined in from California ( San Francisco and Los Angeles). This work shop covers both Traditional and Agile project management as per latest requirements of PMI for attaining CAPM credential .

The past week was gainfully deployed in conducting project management professional (pmp ) work shop for more than twenty Dell team members mainly from the US and some around from South Asia . There was good interface and knowledge bridging was rewarding when participants exhibited cogent understanding of concepts taught in class. Thank you to all who made this effort a successful one .
