The University of Swat hosted the first day of the two-day Leadership Consultation on Curriculum Reforms and Good Governance in KP Higher Education, bringing together vice chancellors, senior officials, academic leaders, policymakers and experts.

The consultation was organized by the Curriculum Cell of the Higher Education Department (HED), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Cell.

Vice Chancellor University of Swat, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim, welcomed the participants and emphasized collective leadership, innovation and institutional collaboration for improving higher education.

The event featured sessions on AI Integration, Internationalization of Higher Education, Outcome-Based Education, Financial Optimization, and Good Governance. Parallel group discussions also focused on examination and assessment, internships, affiliation policy, capstone projects, entrepreneurship, startups, alumni engagement and employability.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Vice Chancellor, Khushal Khan Khattak University, Karak, also participated in the consultation and contributed to the deliberations on higher education reforms and governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The consultation provided an important platform for university leaders and stakeholders to share experiences, identify challenges and develop practical recommendations for strengthening the quality, governance and relevance of higher education across the province.
