I still remember saying "NUST" out loud to my family for the first time — half expecting someone to tell me I was dreaming too big.

I'm from Dera Ghazi Khan, where university wasn't really a conversation at home. But I became the first in my family to walk onto Pakistan's leading engineering university.

My mother kept touching my acceptance letter like she needed to feel it was real. My father looked away so I wouldn't see his eyes.

That door didn't just give me a degree — it gave me a stage. From a quiet kid who never spoke up, to president of the debating society. Somewhere in between, I found the confidence to just be myself.

Dr. Amjad Saqib's words stay with me on hard days: "Whatever belongs to Allah is for everyone." I carry that with me.

First in my family to walk onto a university campus.

My father just hugged me — and held on longer than he needed to.

I come from Wadh, a small town in Khuzdar, Balochistan, where pursuing medical education once felt like a distant dream.

With limited resources and guidance, the path was not easy. When I joined Akhuwat Institute Kasur (AIK), I found an environment that supported my aspirations and gave me the opportunity to move closer to my goal.

Today, I am pursuing my MBBS at Faisalabad Medical University. Looking back, I am grateful for the education, guidance, and support that helped me reach where I am today.
My journey reminds me that with the right opportunities, where you come from does not have to define how far you can go.

From Gilgit-Baltistan to Akhuwat Institute Kasur, my journey has been full of learning and new experiences.

Being away from home was not easy, but my teachers and seniors at AIK helped me grow, build confidence and learn the value of brotherhood.

Today, I work as a Shift Lead at a hotel and also run my own dry fruits business. I’m grateful for the experiences and values I gained at Akhuwat, which continue to be a part of my journey.

For Anas Hussain, education was always more than a degree, it was a way to build a future with purpose.
After matriculation, continuing his education seemed uncertain. Becoming a part of Akhuwat Institute Kasur (AIK), along with the guidance and encouragement of his teachers, helped him continue his journey. He completed his intermediate education and went on to secure a 100% scholarship at FAST NUCES Lahore.
Today, he is pursuing a BS in Computer Science, carrying a vision that extends beyond his own future: to contribute to Pakistan’s growing IT landscape and help make the country a hub for technology and innovation.
