Khuzdar Engineering University's Historic Achievement: Wins Major Global Project from UN Agency FAO.
Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Khuzdar has added a golden chapter in the province's history. The university has signed an agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and the European Union for the "Resilient and Sustainable Water Resources Project (RBWRP)".
This project will be a milestone in sustainable water resource management, climate change mitigation, agricultural improvement, and rural economic development in Balochistan. It's the largest and most prestigious global project secured by any engineering university in Balochistan from FAO.
The success is attributed to BUET Khuzdar's administration, ORIC, professionalism, and strategy. Registrar Dr. Jalal Shah and Manager University-Industry Linkages Israr Ahmed Raisani played key roles in preparing the project proposal and presenting Balochistan's issues and potential to international agencies.
Vice-Chancellor BUET Khuzdar congratulated the team, saying this achievement is not only for the university but for entire Balochistan. The project will provide opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers to work on a global platform and address water security issues in Balochistan.
This success proves that with opportunities, talented individuals from Balochistan can excel globally. Khuzdar Engineering University is now collaborating with top international organizations like the UN and EU.
