Defended. Delivered. ✔️

June 16, 2026

The Political Science Department, Batch 2022–26, FATA University stood before the room today and answered with conviction. Grateful to our external examiner Dr. Asif Salim, Assistant Professor Political Science, Bacha Khan University Charsadda, for his sharp and thoughtful engagement.

A moment that belongs equally to those who built us before today — our HOD Dr. Wajid Mehmood Khattak and our mentors Mr. Ibrahim Khan and Mr. Saeed Khalil.

On to what comes next. 🎓

Black Day Commemoration: Standing in Solidarity with Kashmir

Today, we mark October 27th as Black Day, commemorating the dark chapter in history when Indian military forces illegally occupied Kashmir in 1947. This day serves as a reminder of the struggles and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, who continue to fight for their right to self-determination.

The Directorate of Students Affairs, FATA University, in collaboration with the Association of Political Scientists, FATA University, organized a thought-provoking event to highlight the plight of the Kashmiri people. Our esteemed keynote speaker, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Assistant Professor, Pakistan Study Centre, University of Peshawar, shed light on the historical context and current situation in Kashmir.

Dr. Alamzeb Amir, Pro-Vice Chancellor, FATA University, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor, emphasizing the importance of international support for the Kashmiri people's struggle.

The speakers unanimously condemned the Indian occupation and called upon the civilized world to facilitate a plebiscite in Kashmir, as per UN resolutions. We stand in solidarity with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, advocating for their fundamental human rights and freedom.

Let's raise our voices for the oppressed and demand justice for Kashmir!

Organized by the Association of Political Scientists, in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Affairs, FATA University, and the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN), the event emphasized the power of dialogue in shaping young minds.
