Distinct vocalizations of the Bengal Fox were recorded during night surveys in the Thal Desert. This nocturnal canid is highly adapted to arid and semi-arid landscapes, where it uses calls for communication, territory defense, and coordination. Acoustic records like these provide valuable evidence of presence in low-visibility desert conditions and complement camera-trap and sign surveys.
