Final thesis show of BFA Visual Arts session 2022-2026 was on display on 21-05-2026. Our worthy chief guest Mr Muhammad Javed inaugurated the show at 10:30. Mr. Javed (pride of Performance) is a renowned figure in art and literary circles. He is a visual artist, Member Executive Committee Artist Association Punjab, Lahore Conservation Society and History Reading Society, General Secretary of Pakistan’s Writers Society and Heads its Coopera Art Gallery and a Publishing House. He highly appreciated the work of the students both in skill and in concept and offered them to display it in Coopera Art Gallery. Guest of Honour was our worthy principal Dr Nighat Naheed Zafar who has always supported and appreciated the efforts and hard work of the students and faculty of the Visual Arts Department.

🌟 Achievement Report: National Student Leaders Award 2026 🌟

Gov’t Graduate College for Women Gulberg proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its student, Sania Saher, a student of semester VI, BS English Language and Literature, who has been honored with the National Student Leaders Award 2026 by Youth Parliament.

Sania Saher first participated in the Youth Parliament program, where her dedication, leadership qualities, and active involvement earned her a nomination for this prestigious award. Being recognized at the national level is a great honour and a proud moment for both the student and the institution.

The award ceremony was held on 19th May 2026 at the E-Library, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, where she officially received this distinguished award. The event marked a significant milestone in her academic and leadership journey.

During the ceremony, she also had the opportunity to capture memorable moments at the Dream Wall, symbolizing aspirations and achievements. In addition to the award, she was also presented with a participation certificate in recognition of her contribution and involvement in the program.

This achievement highlights the talent and potential of our students and reflects the institution’s commitment to empowering young leaders.

Report on Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony

The Department of Applied Psychology, Govt. Graduate College For Women, Gulberg Lahore successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hum Mashal e Rah Foundation on 21st May 2026 at Govt Graduate College For Women Gulberg, Lahore to promote academic collaboration, mental health awareness, and community engagement.

The initiative was developed through the dedicated efforts and coordination of the Department of Applied Psychology in collaboration with the Hum Mashal e Rah Foundation. The HOD of the Applied Psychology, Ms Jabeen Mukhtar, along with faculty members Dr. Fozia Hayat, Dr. Zehra Mohsin, and Ms Fatima Saleem, sincerely acknowledge the visionary leadership and support of Principal Prof. Dr. Nighat Naheed Zafar, Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Shagufta Gulraiz, and Ms. Amnah Aftab, CEO of the Foundation, whose encouragement, cooperation, and positive response made this collaboration possible. The partnership aims to provide students with opportunities for internships, workshops, seminars, awareness campaigns, and experiential learning activities to enhance their academic, personal, and professional development.
The MoU was formally signed by Principal Prof. Dr. Nighat Naheed Zafar on behalf of GGCW and CEO Ms. Amnah Aftab on behalf of Hum Mashal e Rah Goundation.The MOU was witnessed by HOD Ms. Jabeen Mukhtar and Coordinator of the Foundation Dr Arooj Khan in the presence of Prof. Dr. Shagufta Gulraiz and Ms. Fatima Saleem from the GGCW, and Ms. Saleha Shafique and Ms. Nails Kokab, Deputy Directors from Hum Mashal e Rah Foundation.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and interdisciplinary collaboration for the benefit of students and society. The Department looks forward to a productive and impactful journey ahead.
