The Viva Voce of BS final year students was successfully conducted at the Sustainable Development Study Centre (SDSC), Government College University Lahore.

The Committee included Dr. Abdul-Sattar Nizami (Director, SDSC), Dr. Uzma Hanif (Associate Professor, Department of Botany, GCUL), and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yasar (SDSC), along with faculty members of the centre.

Students from Environmental Science and Gender & Climate Change of the Fall Session gave the Viva examination as part of their academic requirements.

SDSC is dedicated to interdisciplinary teaching, research, and academic training in Environmental Science and Gender & Climate Change at Government College University Lahore.

Every ending carries the promise of a new beginning.🌱

At Sustainable Development Study Centre- SDSC, students of the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th semesters completed their final examination of the semester- closing another meaningful chapter filled with learning, resilience, research, presentations, field experiences, and unforgettable memories within the classrooms of SDSC.

The examination season not only tested academic knowledge, but also reflected the determination, discipline, and growth of our students who continue to shape themselves into future leaders, researchers, and advocates for sustainability and social change.

As this semester comes to an end, may every effort turn into achievement, every challenge into strength, and every dream into a journey worth pursuing. The classrooms may grow quieter today, but the aspirations born here will continue to echo far beyond the walls of SDSC.

A refreshing rainy day at the Sustainable Development Study Centre (SDSC), (GCUL) 🌧️🌿

As the rain embraced the campus atmosphere, students of Environmental Science and Gender & Climate Change found moments of joy, reflection, and connection within nature. Beyond classrooms and research, such experiences remind us of the close relationship between environment, climate, and everyday life.

At SDSC, learning extends beyond textbooks, nurturing awareness, sustainability, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

We have successfully concluded the Board of Studies (BOS) meeting at the Sustainable Development Study Centre.

During the meeting, important academic developments were approved, including new BS and MPhil degree programs in Environmental Science and Gender & Climate Change. Key PhD-related matters were also reviewed, including examiner approvals, synopsis evaluations, and strengthening of supervisory committees to enhance research quality and academic standards.

The discussion focused on improving curriculum design, advancing teaching methodologies, and reinforcing research excellence to better serve our students and align with contemporary sustainability challenges.

These steps reflect our continued commitment to strengthening academic quality and promoting a more sustainable and inclusive future through education.
