Important Update: Punjab University Bus Accident
A Punjab University Rapid Bus met with an accident near Balakot today. According to the driver, while attempting to avoid an oncoming car at a bend, the bus skidded on the slippery road and went into a shallow ravine.
The bus was carrying 19 employees of the University’s Transport Wing, who were travelling to Naran-Kaghan on a private trip.
No student was travelling on the bus, and all Punjab University students are safe. Parents are therefore requested not to be alarmed and to rely only on verified information issued through official University channels.
By the grace of Almighty Allah, there was no loss of life. Sixteen employees sustained injuries and were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital Mansehra. After receiving medical treatment, all of them were discharged.
The Punjab University administration remains in close contact with the injured employees and their families and is ensuring that all necessary care and assistance are provided.
We are profoundly grateful to Almighty Allah that no precious life was lost and pray for the swift and complete recovery of all injured employees.
