It is a great honor for the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of the Punjab, to celebrate the exceptional achievements of its students. We are thrilled to announce that Sami Lak and Muhammad Xeeshan have been selected for the prestigious TIGP (Taiwan International Graduate Program) to pursue their PhD studies directly after completing their BSc Hons. Their acceptance into this esteemed program at Academia Sinica, ranked 17th worldwide, and National Chung Hsing University, stands as a testament to their hard work, dedication, and outstanding academic prowess.

In addition, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Syed Ali Abbas and ur Rehman, who have also achieved remarkable success. They have been selected for PhD programs at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing, China, with support from the Chinese Government Scholarship. This recognition highlights their exceptional talent and potential.

These achievements underscore the department’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and global competitiveness among its students. We are confident that these students will continue to make significant contributions to the field of plant breeding and genetics and represent our university with distinction on the international stage.

🌿✨ The Society of Plant Breeders and Geneticists at the University of Punjab, Lahore, recently wrapped up an extraordinary 2-day hands-on training workshop on In-silico Genome-Wide Analysis. This event was a testament to the university’s dedication to pioneering research and education, attracting participants from a diverse range of esteemed institutions and fields. 🌟🔬
