REPORT ON ANTI-SMOG AWARENESS CAMPAIGN 2026

Govt Ayesha Graduate College for Women, Timber Market, Ravi Road, Lahore

A seminar on “Smog: Precautions and Preventive Measures” was conducted at Govt Ayesha Graduate College for Women as part of the Anti-Smog Awareness Campaign 2026 to sensitise students to the harmful effects of smog and the necessary precautions to protect their health.

The seminar was attended by the Principal, Vice Principal, and other members of the teaching staff. Students showed great interest in the session and actively participated in learning about the health hazards associated with smog and the preventive measures required to minimise its adverse effect

فرسٹ ایئر کے ایڈمیشنز میں آئی سی ایس میں داخلوں کا بڑھتا ہوا رجحان اس حقیقت کی نشاندھی کر رہا ہے کہ سٹوڈنٹس مستقبل میں آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس، ڈیٹا سائنس، انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی، کمپیوٹر سائنس اور چارٹرڈ اکاؤنٹنٹ جیسے شعبوں میں ہائیر ایجوکیشن کا ارادہ رکھتے ہیں۔ جو آئی سی ایس میں داخلوں کے اضافے کے ٹرینڈ کا موجب ہے۔ لیکن سارے سٹوڈنٹس میتھمیٹکس، کمپیوٹر سائنس اور فزکس کے ساتھ آئی سی ایس کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ سٹوڈنٹس کی آگاہی کے لیے یہ بتانا ضروری ہے کہ ان تمام شعبوں میں ہائیر ایجوکیشن حاصل کرنے کے لیے آئی سی ایس میں سٹیٹسٹکس بہتر آپشن ہے۔ سٹوڈنٹس کو چاہیے کہ میتھمیٹکس کمپیوٹر سائنس اور سٹیٹسٹکس کے ساتھ ائی سی ایس کریں کیونکہ ان تمام شعبوں میں زیادہ عمل و دخل سٹیٹسٹکس کا ہے۔ سٹیٹسٹکس ایک بہت ایزی سبجیکٹ ہے اور میتھمیٹکس سے ملتا جلتا ہے۔ جب مستقبل میں آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس، ڈیٹا سائنس، انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی، کمپیوٹر سائنس اور چارٹرڈ اکاؤنٹنٹ جیسے شعبوں میں داخلہ ہوگا تو سٹوڈنٹس کو سٹیٹسٹکس بھی پڑھائی جائے گی کیونکہ ان شعبوں کی فاؤنڈیشن اور الگورتھم کی بنیاد میتھمیٹکس اور سٹیٹسٹکس پر ہے۔ اس لیے فرسٹ ایئر میں سٹیٹسٹکس ایک بہتر آپشن ہے۔

QUIZ COMPETITION

150th Birthday Celebrations of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (R.A).

According to the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the 150th Birthday Celebrations of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (R.A) will be celebrated across the country, and this Quiz Competition was held as a part of the series of events of these celebrations.

The Nazria-e-Pakistan Society organized this Quiz Competition on _15th October, 2026_ in the College Hall.

Chief Guests:
1. Mrs. Nayyar Saeed-Head of Department, Education
2. Mrs. Abida Noreen Head of Department, Islamic Studies

Judges & Duties:
_Scoreboard Duties:_ Miss Tasneem Kausar and Miss Amna Bajwa
_Judges:_ Miss Sajida Ambreen, Miss Sadia Naeem, Miss Sidra Jamil and Miss Abida Noreen

Proceedings:
The program started with Tilawat-e-Quran-e-Pak by a student of First Year and Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (S.A.W.W) was recited by Minahal Fatima student of First Year.

The competition comprised of two rounds based on the life of Quaid-e-Azam and the Pakistan Movement.

Participation & Format:
Four teams participated: 1 Team from class First Year, 3 Teams from Second Year. The teams were named: _Iman, Ittehad, Tanzeem and Yaqeen-e-Mohkam_ according to the famous motto of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

In the _first round_, Team Tanzeem was eliminated.
In the _second round_, only three teams - Iman, Ittehad and Yaqeen-e-Mohkam - competed.

Results:
- 1st Position: Team Iman (Winner)_
- _2nd Position: Team Ittehad_
Team Yaqeen-e-Mohkam (Runner-up).

Chief guest Mrs Nayyer Saeed encouraged students and appreciated the orginizers.
Conclusion:
In the end, the National Anthem was played and all participants stood in respect.

Acknowledgement:
We are highly thankful to the Government of Pakistan for organizing such celebrations. Such programs are very important for creating awareness among the young generation about our national heroes and for enhancing their knowledge. Such healthy competitions play a vital role in the personality development of students.

President : Samina Jahangir thanked the Chief Guests, Judges, all faculty members and students for making the event successful.

Cooking Competition by Home Economics Department

A cooking competition was organized by Bake Parlor for the Home Economics students. The participants prepared chicken tikka macaroni, showcasing their culinary skills, creativity, and presentation.

The competition was judged by worthy Principal Dr. Noreen Ruby , vice principal Dr. Nighat Tahira ,Ms Abida Noreen HOD Islamiat and Ms. Amna Bajwa. The position holders were:

* 1st Position: Khadija Fazal Din (2nd Year)
* 2nd Position: Laiba (2nd Year)
* 3rd Position: Hifza (1st Year)

Gift hampers were presented to the participants in appreciation of their efforts and participation. The event provided students with an opportunity to enhance their cooking skills and gain valuable experience in a competitive environment.

تقریری مقابلہ بہ عنوان ’’بدعنوانی‘‘
گورنمنٹ عائشہ گریجوایٹ کالج، ٹمبر مارکیٹ، راوی روڈ، لاہور۔
اینٹی کرپشن آگاہی سرگرمیوں کے سلسلے میں شعبۂ اردو کی جانب سے ’’بدعنوانی‘‘ کے موضوع پر ایک پُروقار تقریری مقابلے کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس مقابلے کا مقصد طالبات میں بدعنوانی کے منفی اثرات، اس کے تدارک اور معاشرے میں دیانت داری و ذمہ داری کے شعور کو اجاگر کرنا تھا۔
تقریری مقابلے میں سالِ اول، سالِ دوم، بی ایس اردو اور اے ڈی پی اردو کی طالبات نے بھرپور شرکت کی۔ تقریب کا باقاعدہ آغاز تلاوتِ کلامِ پاک سے ہوا، جس کی سعادت سالِ دوم کی طالبہ حاجرہ نے حاصل کی۔ تلاوتِ قرآنِ مجید کے بعد نعتِ رسولِ مقبول ﷺ پیش کی گئی۔
بعد ازاں تقریری مقابلے کا آغاز ہوا، جس میں پانچ طالبات نے موضوعِ ’’بدعنوانی‘‘ پر اپنے جوشِ خطابت اور فکری صلاحیتوں کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ طالبات نے بدعنوانی کے اسباب، اس کے معاشرتی و قومی نقصانات اور اس کے خاتمے کے لیے انفرادی و اجتماعی ذمہ داریوں کو مؤثر انداز میں اجاگر کیا۔
مقابلے کے اختتام پر بہترین کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرنے والی سالِ دوم کی درج ذیل طالبات نے نمایاں پوزیشنیں حاصل کیں:
اول پوزیشن: نور فاطمہ محسن
دوم پوزیشن: لایقہ
سوم پوزیشن: سحر نوید

تقریب کا اختتام کامیاب طالبات کی حوصلہ افزائی اور ان کی کارکردگی کو سراہنے کے ساتھ ہوا۔ اس سرگرمی نے طالبات میں بدعنوانی کے خلاف شعور، دیانت داری، اخلاقی ذمہ داری اور قومی احساسِ فرض کو فروغ دینے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا۔

اردو تقریری مقابلہ

مورخہ 06 اکتوبر 2026 گورنمنٹ عائشہ گریجویٹ کالج ٹمبر مارکیٹ لاہور میں *قائدِ اعظم محمد علی جناح کی ایک سو پچاسویں سالگرہ* کی تقریبات کے سلسلے میں اردو تقریری مقابلہ منعقد کیا گیا۔

یہ پروگرام *صدر شعبہ اردو ڈاکٹر راحت زہرا زیدی* کی زیرِ نگرانی منعقد ہوا۔

طالبات نے قائدِ اعظم کی زندگی، افکار اور جدوجہدِ آزادی پر نہایت پرجوش اور فکرانگیز تقاریر پیش کیں۔ فرسٹ ایئر اور سیکنڈ ایئر کی طالبات نے بھرپور جوش و خروش سے حصہ لیا۔

*پرنسپل ڈاکٹر نورین روبی* نے طالبات کی کاوشوں کو بے حد سراہا اور پروگرام کے کامیاب انعقاد پر شعبہ اردو کو مبارکباد پیش کی۔

REPORT ON FREE DENTAL INSPECTION
Date: 6 October 2026
A free dental inspection was held at our college on 6 October 2026 for the students. The purpose of the activity was to provide basic dental examination and create awareness among students about oral health and hygiene.
A team of dental professionals visited the college and examined the students. The students were guided about proper dental care, regular brushing, oral hygiene, and the importance of regular dental check-ups. The activity was conducted in a peaceful and organized manner, and the students participated actively.
The free dental inspection was a useful and informative activity. It helped students become more aware of their dental health and encouraged them to adopt better oral hygiene practices.
