Bringing extensive expertise in plant molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, and translational bioinformatics, Dr. Masood plays a key role in advancing genetic research within our department. Her scholarly work specializes in hybrid gene promoter cloning, vector construction, expression analysis, and comparative genomics. Through her published research in international journals and her work in plant gene regulation, she continues to contribute meaningfully to agricultural and molecular biotechnology.
Beyond her research, Dr. Masood actively enriches the academic environment by training students in fundamental and computational biotechnology methods, cultivating critical thinking and practical skills for future life science professionals.

Real-Time PCR Training | Department of Biotechnology, UCP
The Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science & Technology, University of Central Punjab (UCP) successfully organized a hands-on Training on Real-Time PCR, providing participants with valuable practical exposure to advanced molecular biology techniques.
The training brought together faculty members, researchers, and students from CAMB, UAF, UVAS, LCWU, Superior University, GCU, PU-IMBB, and several other institutions across Pakistan.
Department of Biotechnology extends its appreciation to the expert trainers from CEMB-PU Dr. Iram Amin and Dr. Samia afzal for sharing their expertise and contributing to an enriching learning experience.
