A two-day Mock Examination for FCPS-II Orthodontics was successfully organized by the Department of Orthodontics, de'Montmorency College of Dentistry, under the supervision of Head of Department Prof. Muhammad Ilyas and his dedicated team, under the patronage of Principal Prof. Nabeela Riaz.
The academic activity attracted FCPS-II orthodontic trainees from different institutions across Pakistan who are preparing for their upcoming Part-II examinations. Renowned and highly experienced examiners of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan from Lahore and Islamabad conducted an extensive assessment program comprising Long Cases, Short Cases, and TOACS examinations, thereby providing participants with a structured and realistic examination experience closely aligned with the actual FCPS-II examination format.
In addition to the assessment sessions, a comprehensive interactive feedback session was conducted in which detailed guidance regarding Long Case presentation, case discussion strategies, examination protocols, examiner expectations, and common pitfalls was shared with the participants. The session was highly informative and provided candidates with valuable insight to improve their clinical reasoning, presentation skills, and overall examination preparedness.
The successful conduct of this academic activity reflects the vision, dedication, and continuous efforts of Prof. Muhammad Ilyas and his team toward strengthening postgraduate orthodontic training in Pakistan.

This initiative also highlights the valuable support, academic vision, and collaborative efforts of the Pakistan Association of Orthodontists and its council in promoting high-quality academic activities aimed at enhancing the standards of orthodontic education and examination preparedness nationwide.
The Department of Orthodontics deserves immense appreciation for arranging such a well-organized and impactful academic event. The participants highly valued the opportunity to experience a simulated examination environment under the supervision of seasoned CPSP examiners. Such academic initiatives significantly contribute toward building confidence, refining clinical competencies, and preparing future orthodontists to meet the highest professional and academic standards.
