Prof. Amin Mughal — A Progressive Voice of Punjab and the Founding Member of Shah Hussain College.
With deep sorrow, we mourn the passing of renowned progressive scholar, educationist and Punjabi intellectual Prof. Amin Mughal, who passed away in a London hospital at the age of 91, just a day before Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Prof. Amin Mughal devoted much of his life to education, progressive thought and the promotion of the Punjabi language and culture**. He remained closely associated with Shah Hussain College and played an important role in its intellectual and educational journey.
For generations, scholars and students benefited from his vision, dedication and progressive thinking. His passing is not only a loss for his family and colleagues, but also for Punjab’s academic, cultural and intellectual community.
Some people leave behind buildings and institutions; great people leave behind **ideas that continue to inspire generations.
Prof. Amin Mughal will be remembered with respect, gratitude and deep sorrow.
May Allah Almighty grant him Maghfirah, elevate his ranks in Jannah, and give patience and strength to his family and loved ones. Ameen.
