Once again, the students of the Psychology Department have made us proud as our two students, Kainat Shahzad from Semester 4 and Hira Tariq from Semester 1, took part in the interdepartmental debate competition organized by the English Department. Their performance reflected confidence, intellect, and passion.

Kainat Shahzad rose to the top and secured the first position ๐Ÿ†, delivering an exceptional speech that truly stood out. Her arguments were clear, well-structured, and presented with great confidence, which impressed both the judges and the audience ๐Ÿ‘.

The other participant, Hira Tariq, despite being from the first semester and facing her very first competition, performed remarkably well and showed great promise. Adding to the pride of our department, a shining star among us, Soayba Ilyas from Semester 7, though not officially part of the competition, delivered a powerful complementary debate on Iqbalโ€™s vision for youth, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. Her words carried depth, purpose, and inspiration.

Our respected Regional Director Dr. Imad-ud-din Akbar, appreciated her impactful delivery and also acknowledged the collective efforts of all participants, making it a moment of honor and celebration for the entire department.

A video editing workshop was held at NUML Lahore Campus, where students were introduced to the fundamentals of editing. The session was conducted by Faizan Zaheer and Hamza from Ample Cut (https://www.instagram.com/amplecut_studio?igsh=MWtrbnFobXZhMHRhcQ==) who trained participants in basic editing techniques. Organized by Hafiz Muhammad Sheraz from the Faculty of Media and Communication Studies, the workshop provided hands-on learning, with students gaining practical experience in Adobe Premiere Pro.

On 23rd April 2026, the CSR Team from NUML Lahore visited the Kar-e-Kamal Orphanage in Lahore, spreading joy and care through a heartfelt initiative. Echoing the warm greetings of "Assalam-o-Alaikum," they distributed joggers, shoes, and dresses to the children, ensuring they feel valued and supported. Beyond the material gifts, they bonded with the orphans through fun-filled indoor games, creating smiles and lasting memories.
