The visit was thoughtfully arranged by Hashoo School of Hospitality exclusively for its students, providing them with valuable insights into professional hospitality practices and operations.

On March 8, Dr. Ghulam Ghouse, Associate Director Research at SMS, was invited by 89 News HD to share his analysis on the economic consequences of the Iran–US–Israel conflict and its implications for the global economy, particularly for Pakistan.

During the discussion, he highlighted that escalating tensions in the Middle East are driving oil prices upward, disrupting global energy supply chains, and increasing inflation risks worldwide. He further explained that countries like Pakistan are especially vulnerable due to their heavy reliance on imported energy and a fragile economic structure.

First-semester Introduction to Business students at the Department of Management Sciences stepped into the role of real decision-makers, collaborating in teams, making strategic, marketing, and financial decisions, and gaining firsthand insight into what it truly takes to manage a company.

Through the Business Primer – Bikes Simulation, students led a virtual bicycle company in a competitive marketplace, applying classroom concepts to real-world scenarios and experiencing the impact of their choices in real time.

From January 23–26, 2025, Hashoo School of Hospitality Management organized a three-day educational trip to PC Muzaffarabad for the Department of Hospitality Management students, offering them valuable hands-on industry exposure. The visit provided practical insights into hotel operations, including check-in and check-out procedures, room service management, bedding and laundry operations, and an overview of all key departments, including the back-of-house kitchen.

A detailed session on kitchen operations was conducted, where students learned about food handling, presentation techniques, crockery selection, and the importance of precision and attention to detail. They also gained an understanding of the accounts department’s functions and attended an informative session on HACCP standards and food safety practices.

The trip concluded with a comprehensive tour of the entire property. Overall, it was an enriching and highly educational experience that enhanced students’ practical knowledge of the hospitality industry.
