The Government College of Technology for Printing & Graphic Arts was established in 1973 in the heart of the Lahore city, in Allama Iqbal Town. It is the only college in the country catering to the trained manpower requirement of Printing, Packaging, Publishing, Newspaper Printing and Graphic Communication Industries as well as the related industries that supply paper and board, printing inks, lig
ht sensitive materials, adhesives & Metal used in the various printing process. The printing industries is one of the largest sector of the country employing more than half a million people. But as the industry grows, the needs for highly skilled & well educated professionals to become leaders in production management, quality control, computer application and research. The college has its own campus having spacious and purpose built building spread over an area of 5-acres. The building was extended in the year of 2001 to start post diploma department in Electronic Publishing Technology.
