On May 14, 2026, FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences successfully organized the BS Electrical Engineering (BS-EE) Final Year Project Demonstration, showcasing innovative and industry-oriented projects developed by graduating students.

The event featured a diverse range of cutting-edge projects in the domains of Electronics, Computer Engineering, Robotics and Control Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electric Vehicles, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The project demonstration provided students with an excellent platform to present their technical expertise, research capabilities, and practical engineering solutions to real-world challenges. Distinguished guests and professionals from various industries were also invited to attend the event, enabling meaningful interaction between academia and industry while fostering opportunities for collaboration and professional networking.

The event concluded with appreciation remarks from faculty members and invited guests, who commended the students for their dedication, technical competence, and remarkable project presentations.

An insightful guest lecture was hosted by the FAST School of Management, Lahore Campus, featuring Sameer Khan, Chief Business Officer at PACRA and member of FAST’s Corporate Advisory Board.

The session introduced students to the fundamentals of credit ratings, PACRA’s role in Pakistan’s financial sector, and how ratings influence businesses, banks, and debt instruments. Drawing from over two decades of industry experience, Sameer Khan also shared valuable insights into financial markets, risk assessment, and career opportunities in credit analysis.

The interactive session provided students with a practical understanding of the financial world and the growing importance of credit ratings in Pakistan’s economy.

On May 6, 2026, FAST-NUCES Lahore Campus had the honor of hosting an insightful guest speaker session featuring Dr. Muhammad Naveed Tahir, former Deputy Director in the Monetary Policy Department at the State Bank of Pakistan. The session aimed to bridge the gap between textbook theory and real-world practices, providing students of the Department of Management Sciences with valuable economic insights and practical applications of concepts studied in class.

The seminar focused on the tools, functions, and mechanisms of monetary policy, with special reference to Pakistan’s economy. Drawing from his extensive experience both locally and internationally, Dr. Tahir offered students a global perspective on the significance of monetary policy and its implications for business strategy and decision-making.

Students also had the opportunity to engage with Dr. Tahir during an interactive Q&A session, making the experience both educational and enriching for everyone involved.

The session concluded with the respected Head of Department, Dr. Hamid Hassan, along with esteemed faculty members Ms. Zunaira Ahmed and Ms. Sadia Bilal, presenting Dr. Tahir with a token of appreciation.

We are sincerely grateful to Dr. Tahir for taking the time to engage with our students. His presence was truly a valuable learning opportunity, and we look forward to welcoming him again in the future.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Arshad Ali, HoD (Cyber Security) Department, Team NekoNeko from FAST-NUCES Lahore Campus—consisting of Muhammad Waleed (22L-6824), Muhammad Annus Shahzad (23L-3004), and Muhammad Ali Asghar (22L-6762)—proudly secured 1st position at the Code Rush CTF Competition organized by the Google Developer Club at Information Technology University. 🏆

Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and cybersecurity skills, the team successfully solved all 14 out of 14 challenges more than an hour before the competition concluded, becoming the only team to completely solve every challenge and emerge as the overall winners.

As they prepare to graduate, this achievement marks a memorable conclusion to their journey as FASTians.
