Consultative Session on Waqf Revitalization at MUL

School of Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance ,Minhaj University Lahore, in collaboration with SECP, hosted a consultative session titled:
Revitalizing the Institution of Waqf: A Concept Paper

Chaired by Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, the session emphasized Waqf as a spiritual and socio-economic institution. He introduced the Muslim Common Waqf (MCW) as a Shariah-compliant financial alternative.

SECP officials Muhammad Asad Ali and Tauseef-ur-Rehman presented key insights on legal reforms and governance.

The session featured academic experts and referenced Dr. Qadri’s book *"Beyond the IMF"* as a visionary guide.

The event concluded with a commitment to strengthening Waqf through academic-regulatory cooperation.
