Lahore Leads University is a project of Leads Educator welfare Trust. The university is run under the auspices of Leads Educator Welfare Trust, a not for profit trust for promotion of education.Leads Educator Welfare Trust was established in 1995. The basic aim of the Educational Trust is to produce leaders for the nation through a holistic development of individuals by providing sound knowledge,
higher analytical ability, commitment to service and respect for the nation. Therefore, the Trust started its projects in education at all levels, named as, Leads School System, Leads Group of Colleges and Lahore Leads University. Since 1999 (before establishment of Lahore Leads University), Leads Institute were offering courses at bachelor and masters level for business management, accounting & finance and computer science etc. Lahore Leads University received degree awarding status through a charter by provincial assembly of Punjab vide its notification No. PAP-Legis-2(54)/2010/321 dated 12 January 2011.
