It is a great achievement of USA to change the system of higher education in Pakistan. In 1988, from the platform of National College of Computer Sciences, we initiated the move of change by offering Computer Science programs. Today HEC is in the process of getting two year Bachelor programs replaced with a four year Bachelors. Instead of studying seven courses, students are now exposed to 40+ courses at the undergraduate level. This system has been adopted from the American universities where most of the students study and work simultaneously. Although the duration is four years, students with better learning skills and time to study can complete this degree in less than three years. They take six regular semesters and two summer sessions thereby completing the requirements in shorter time span. At University of South Asia, we strive each day to come up with new and innovative ideas for providing better options to our students.
