The course was inaugurated by Maj Gen Prof. Dr. Nadeem Fazal (R), HI (M), TI (M), Principal, CMH LMC & IOD. The session featured engaging teaching-learning activities, interactive discussions, and enthusiastic participation from faculty and participants, fostering a collaborative environment for professional growth.CMT is designed to strengthen teaching competencies and promote excellence in health professions education.

MEDEXPO II
9th May 2026

MedExpo Volume II, organized by the Students Research Club (SRC) was a premier undergraduate research competition promoting scientific inquiry and academic excellence. The event brought together 103 participants from medical colleges across Pakistan for oral and poster presentation competitions, evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges. The event was graced by Lt. Gen. (R) Nadeem Fazal, TI (M), HI (M) as the Chief Guest.
In the Oral Presentation Competition, the First Prize was awarded to Raja Muhammad Haris from University College of Medicine & Dentistry; the Second Prize to Omer Farooq of HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences and the Third Prize to Muhammad Anwer and Khadeeja Ali from University College of Medicine & Dentistry.

In the Poster Presentation Competition, the First Prize was awarded to Wajeeha Rashid, Minahil Shah, and Muhammad Bin Khalid from CMH Lahore Medical College & IOD.

CMH Olympiad 2026, the flagship event, proudly organized by the CMH Arts & Design Society (CADS), brought together teams from prestigious institutions for three vibrant days of creativity, sportsmanship, talent, and collaboration under the theme “Pulse of Ages - Where Time Beats as One.”
The Olympiad commenced with a dignified Opening Ceremony graced by Patron-in-Chief CADS, Chief Executive Maj Gen (Retd) Prof Dr Nadeem Fazal, HI (M). The ceremony featured the National Anthem, recitation of the Holy Quran, flag hoisting of the participating teams, addresses by Ahsan Ali (President), Rameen Tiwana (Vice President), Prof Dr Ansa Rabia (Staff President), and the Chief Executive. A captivating musical performance and live art demonstration added to the occasion. The ceremonial lighting of the Mashal (Torch) officially marked the beginning of the Olympiad, symbolizing unity, perseverance, and excellence.
Participants from Azra Naheed Medical College, Rahbar Medical & Dental College, Rashid Latif Khan University, University College of Medicine & Dentistry, and Shaikh Zayed Medical College competed enthusiastically across a diverse range of arts, cultural, talent, and sporting events.
The Olympiad concluded with Azra Naheed Medical College – Team A emerging as the overall winner and receiving the championship trophy from Lt Col (Retd) Dr Waqar Ul Hassan Zaidi, Director Events & University Coordination. A vibrant musical evening featuring Zeeshan Ali brought CMH Olympiad 2026 to a memorable close, celebrating talent, teamwork, friendship, and the spirit of healthy competition.

On 13th August, the CMH Debating Club & CMH Literary Society conducted Independence Day Ceremony; a day to celebrate the freedom we inherited, reflect on the sacrifices that made it possible, and remind ourselves of the responsibility that comes with being a nation.

The ceremony featured powerful English & Urdu speeches, followed by a carefully scripted and sharply executed skit that reflected the realities of Pakistan through the lens of today’s generation. Addressing the ideas, attitudes, and questions that shape our youth, the performance offered a striking perspective on where we stand as a society, leaving the audience with plenty to reflect upon.

A celebration of independence, but also a moment to pause, question, and look at Pakistan through the eyes of the generation that will shape its future.

Community Outreach Camp – Khiderwala, District Faisalabad, 20th July 2026

A remarkable achievement for the Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry, CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry!
The Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry successfully conducted a comprehensive Community Outreach Camp at Khiderwala, District Faisalabad, in collaboration with Transparent Hands, under the supervision of Dr. Asma Shakoor, Head of Department, along with Dr. Yousma and the dedicated Houseofficers team.
This initiative reflects our continued commitment to extending quality Oral and General healthcare services to underserved and underprivileged communities through a multidisciplinary approach.

🦷 Dental Services (266 Dental OPD Patients):
Comprehensive oral examinations Oral health education and counselling Distribution of Oral health education pamphlets Screening for dental caries, calculus deposits, gingivitis, periodontitis, tooth sensitivity, and other common oral health conditions Referral of patients requiring advanced dental treatment 3 ART were done successfully

🩺 Medical Services (350 Medical OPD Patients):
General medical consultations Blood pressure, blood sugar, and vital signs assessment Hepatitis B screening Skin disease assessment and management Free medicine distribution

The most frequently encountered medical condition was skin disease, followed by hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and respiratory/allergic illnesses. A few patients with burn injuries also received appropriate medical evaluation and care. In addition, ultrasound facilities for women were provided, further enhancing access to essential healthcare services.
The Department extends its sincere appreciation to Transparent Hands for their invaluable collaboration and continued support in serving vulnerable communities. Special thanks to Sensodyne and Colgate for generously providing oral health samples and educational materials, which contributed significantly to promoting preventive oral healthcare.

Together, we continue to make meaningful strides towards improving oral and general health, ensuring that quality healthcare reaches those who need it most.

Celebrating Intellectual Excellence on a National Stage!

The 5th Annual General Knowledge Quiz Competition, proudly organized by the CMH LMC & IOD Quiz Society (CQS), was a remarkable celebration of knowledge, teamwork, and academic excellence. The event brought together some of Pakistan's brightest young minds for an exciting day of learning, healthy competition, and intellectual engagement.

The competition was honoured by the auspicious presence of our Worthy Principal/Chief Executive, Maj. Gen. Dr. Nadeem Fazal (R), HI(M), TI(M), whose visionary leadership and continued encouragement of academic and co-curricular activities inspired both the participants and the organizing team.

Teams from leading medical and non-medical institutions across Punjab, including King Edward Medical University, Allama Iqbal Medical College, FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry, Rashid Latif Medical College, Lahore Medical & Dental College, Government College University, University of the Punjab, UET Lahore, LUMS, PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, CMH LMC & IOD, and many other prestigious institutions, participated in this exciting intellectual competition.

After an intense Qualifying Round, the top nine teams advanced to the Semifinal and ultimately the Grand Finale, competing through diverse and challenging rounds that tested their knowledge, analytical thinking, quick recall, and teamwork.

1st Place: Shalamar Medical & Dental College, Cash Prize: Rs. 20,000
2nd Place: Government College University, Cash Prize: Rs. 15,000
3rd Place: CMH Lahore Medical College & Institute of Dentistry, Cash Prize: Rs. 10,000

The winning teams were awarded cash prizes, trophies, and medals, while all participating teams received certificates in recognition of their enthusiasm, dedication, and outstanding performance.

The CQS extends its heartfelt congratulations to the winners and sincere appreciation and gratitude to college administration, every participating team, respected judges, faculty members and organizing committee, for making the 5th Annual GK Quiz Competition an unforgettable celebration of learning, excellence, and sportsmanship.
