In a world increasingly shaped by data and intelligent technologies, the ability to transform information into actionable insights has become a critical capability for public sector leaders.

The Certification Programme in Business Analytics and Data Science for FBR (Intermediate Level - Cohort III) brought together officers from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for a three-week learning journey at the Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC), SDSB, LUMS. Throughout the programme, participants explored the evolving landscape of analytics, artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, and digital transformation, while developing practical skills to address real-world challenges within the public sector.

Blending conceptual understanding with hands-on application, the programme immersed participants in topics ranging from data analysis, visualization, and dashboard development to Python, SQL, generative AI, agentic AI, data governance, cybersecurity, and project implementation. Interactive exercises, case discussions, and collaborative learning experiences encouraged participants to think critically about how emerging technologies can drive greater efficiency, innovation, and public value.

The programme was delivered by an accomplished faculty including Dr. Ussama Yaqub, Mr. Muhammad Asad Shoaib, Dr. Salma Zaman, Ms. Maheen S., Dr. Zaid Saeed Khan, and Dr. Mehroz Sajjad, whose expertise helped bridge the gap between technological advancements and practical implementation in the public sector.

Congratulations to all participants on successfully completing the programme. The journey does not end here. Equipped with new ways of thinking about data, technology, and decision-making, participants are now better positioned to turn complex challenges into opportunities and drive meaningful change within Pakistan's tax administration system.

Four days, one clear message — leadership isn't a title, it's a practice.

Tapal's high-potential managers gathered at the Rausing Executive Development Centre, SDSB, LUMS, for the Leadership Excellence & Acceleration Programme 2.0, which was kicked off by Mr. Imtiaz Jaleel (CEO - Tapal) and Ms. Amra Mubashir (GM Human Resources - Tapal), alongside Programme Director Dr. Arif Butt. Over four intensive days, participants explored leadership character and empathy, sharpened their conflict management and negotiation skills, and tackled an immersive simulation to put collaboration and team-level goals to the test. The programme also looked forward — with a dedicated session on AI tools and applications — while drawing on timeless lessons in trust, resilience and succession. The programme was led by an outstanding faculty team — Dr. Arif Butt, Dr. Adnan Zahid and Dr. Muhammad AbdurRahman Malik — whose expertise shaped every session across the week.

Guest speaker Mr. Asif Akram (COO - Systems Limited), added an outside perspective with a session on technology adoption in Pakistani businesses, grounding the classroom learning in real market realities. Participants closed the week by building trust and synergy through a hands-on team challenge, before turning to performance management and strategic thinking on the final day — tying the week's learning back to what it means to lead and perform at a higher level.

From late-night discussions to a shared dinner under the REDC sky, this wasn't just a programme — it was a shift in mindset for the next generation of Tapal's leaders. Held from August 10 - 13, 2026, this intensive four-day executive journey brought together business leaders to master the art of team dynamics, trust building, and cultural leadership in complex organisational environments. Led by renowned faculty members Dr. Arif Butt and Dr. Muhammad AbdurRahman Malik, the programme seamlessly blended rigorous case discussions with hands-on simulations to unpack the core elements of team success.

Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC), SDSB, in collaboration with Meezan Bank Limited, successfully concluded the Generative AI for Managers: Reimagining Work in the Age of Intelligence programme, designed to help managers understand and leverage the transformative potential of Generative AI and Agentic AI in the workplace.

Led by Dr. Suleman Shahid, the programme provided participants with an immersive learning experience covering AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, AI-powered analytics, custom AI development, AI-enabled transformation, responsible AI, and emerging agentic systems. The session was further enriched by guest speaker, Dr. Syed Amir Ali , the President & CEO - Meezan Bank Limited, who shared insights on the transformative role of AI in the financial sector and how organisations can harness emerging technologies to create value and remain competitive.

The Programme on Strategic Sales Leadership, delivered by the Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC), LUMS, brought together professionals for four days of immersive learning focused on strengthening sales leadership capabilities and driving sustainable business growth. Throughout the programme, participants explored the evolving role of sales leaders in shaping strategy, building high-performing teams, and creating customer-centric organisations.

Through case studies, simulations, and interactive discussions, participants explored strategic sales leadership, customer value creation, go-to-market ex*****on, sales transformation, and effective customer and segment management.

Led by distinguished faculty members Mr. Muhammad Luqman Awan, Dr Ghulam Ali Arain, and Dr. Moeen Naseer Butt, the programme provided participants with practical frameworks to navigate evolving customer expectations and increasingly dynamic market environments.
