Four days of leadership, reflection, and growth came to a close as REDC hosted the Impactful Leadership Programme for Askari Bank, held September 8 – 11, 2026 at the Rausing Executive Development Centre.

Participants explored the core pillars of leadership — competencies, character, and commitment — while working through real case discussions, simulations, and frameworks on purposeful organisations, self-development, emotional intelligence, and digital transformation. The programme also tackled some of today's most pressing workplace themes: building high-performance teams, managing a multigenerational workforce, leading change with agility, and applying AI in business decision-making.

Guest sessions with Mr. Syed Hyder Hasan (CFO, Fatima Group) added valuable industry perspective, while hands-on exercises brought the learning to life beyond the classroom.

The programme was led by Programme Director Dr. Arif Butt, along with Dr. Adnan Zahid, Dr. Suleman Shahid, Dr. Muhammad AbdurRahman Malik, and Dr. Ussama Yaqub.

A sales team's performance rarely comes down to talent alone — it comes down to how well that talent is led, structured, and rewarded.

Participants spent four days at the Rausing Executive Development Centre for the Programme on Sales Force Management, led by Programme Director Mr. Muhammad Luqman Awan. The week moved from the fundamentals of sales force structure into the sharper questions of strategy — how to design, lead, and influence a sales team so it performs consistently, not just occasionally. Real-world cases anchored each discussion, pushing participants to work through actual sales dilemmas rather than abstract theory, while dedicated sessions on non-financial rewards and data analysis rounded out a more complete view of what actually drives performance.

The final two days looked forward — examining how AI is reshaping sales force management before participants put their learning to the test in a live market simulation, testing strategy and decision-making in real time.

Led by Mr. Muhammad Luqman Awan, Dr. Ehsan ul Haque and Dr. Moeen Naseer Butt, the programme balanced established frameworks with the emerging tools now reshaping how sales teams are built and managed.

Every project succeeds or fails less on the plan itself and more on how well people adapt when that plan meets reality.

Participants spent four days at the Rausing Executive Development Centre for the Programme on Project Management, led by Programme Director Dr. Jamshed Khan. The week moved from the fundamentals of scoping and planning into the harder, less technical parts of the discipline — managing risk, navigating stakeholders, and leading through the ambiguity that no Gantt chart ever fully captures. Case discussions and a hands-on simulation pushed participants to work through real project breakdowns, not just theoretical frameworks, while sessions on agile methods and contract management rounded out a toolkit built for projects of every scale and sector.

By the final day, the conversation had shifted from tools to application — each participant working through how the concepts learnt translate back into their own organisation's projects and pressures.

Led by Dr. Jamshed Khan, Dr. Raja Usman Khalid and Dr. Samnan Ali, the programme balanced structured frameworks with the judgment calls that separate a project that's merely completed from one that's genuinely well-managed.

Every family business eventually faces the same quiet question: who leads next, and how do you make that shift without breaking what took generations to build?

Over two days at the Rausing Executive Development Centre, participants worked through the Programme on Leading Generational Transitions in Family Business, led by Programme Director Dr. Hassan Rauf Chaudhry. What made this cohort unique was the room itself — a rare gathering where first and second-generation family members from different retail businesses, such as Cougar, Monark, Royal Tag, Charcoal, Rollover Kids Company and Idrees Traders sat as peers, not competitors, choosing to have the succession conversation out loud instead of behind closed doors.

The programme moved from a simulation on navigating generational transitions to the complexities of shifting toward a cousin consortium, grounded throughout in real-world cases. Day two turned to governance — how business families build the constitutions that sustain leadership and ownership across generations — with one tension running through it all: preserving legacy while making room for change.

Led by Dr. Hassan Rauf Chaudhry and Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja, the programme brought both academic rigour and real-world nuance to a subject that's deeply personal for every participant in the room. What participants carried out of that room was less a framework and more a resolve — that the families who endure aren't the ones that avoid change, but the ones that plan for it.

Last week Easypaisa’s team spent two intensive days in Islamabad deepening their understanding of Islamic finance, moving beyond what is prohibited to understanding why, and how those principles translate into financial products.

The team participated in the Programme on Fundamentals of Islamic Banking & Finance, delivered by LUMS-REDC and led by Programme Director Dr. Saad Azmat.

The programme began with the conceptual foundations of Islamic finance, exploring its meaning and purpose before unpacking the concept of Riba and its evolution from a prohibition to a principle shaping profit based structures. Participants then moved into practical application, exploring what leaders need to know when translating regulation into everyday practice and developing a working understanding of the time value of money through an Islamic lens.

Day two shifted from theory to application; examining money, commodities and debt as distinct asset classes, followed by a deeper look at the liability and asset sides of Islamic banks and the products built around them. The programme concluded with the tools used to construct Islamic financial products and a group project that brought two days of learning together into practical output.

The programme was led by Dr. Saad Azmat, Dr. Sheharyar Sikander Hamid and Mr. Talha Farrukh, bringing together academic depth and industry perspective to a subject that can often remain abstract.

What the team brings back to Easypaisa isn't just a certificate; it's a clearer lens for understanding how Islamic finance works, product by product.

It's not a retreat from responsibility, but a deeper engagement with it — shaped by conversations with leaders who've stood at the same crossroads, and a week that pushes reflection further than daily routine ever allows.
