Government Fatima Jinnah College for Women University Government Fatima Jinnah College for Women was established in 1986.

In the 17th century, during the Mughal period this building was the Haveli of Asif Jah, who was the Governor of Lahore and the brother of Queen Noor Jehan and the father of Queen Mumtaz Mahal. During the Sikh period it was the Haveli of Dhayan Singh, who was a Senior Minister of Raja Ranjit Singh, and during the days of British Raj it was used for administrative purposes. It's a unique institution

as it is the only institution that represents the history of Lahore and functions as a seat of learning in the 21st century.The College started its classes in two rooms when the Haveli was in a dilapidated condition.It rose from the ashes.Extensive renovation and extension work is being continuously carried out to meet the demands of the changing times while preserving its antiquity. Government Fatima Jinnah College stands as a symbol of a dynamic and a progressive Pakistan
