The year is ending.
Though disease, uncertainity, isolation, and chaos are still walking with us to enter 2021, this day has so much hope within itself. The man whose life and times are relatable today and everyday. How he fought against all odds while bearing a chronic illness, who stood with the poor while arguing with the mighty and proved that hard-work and dedication make every impossible thing turn into a reality, no matter how harsh the conditions get. He, who gave us the gift of freedom and left leaving behind his only child, Pakistan.
How this year turned up for all of us in terms of illness and disruption, here is a homage to this man with a conviction that we shall overcome all that is dark and ugly today to end up in a prosperous tomorrow, where we will be more tolerant and more progressive with unity, faith and discipline. Here's to finding our silver linings. Here is to Quaid e Azam.

9th November marks a momentous day in the history of Pakistan. Today was the day that the prolific Muslim poet and philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal was born. This day holds a special place in our hearts as Pakistanis because the Allama was one of the first politicians of the subcontinent to express his vision of a separate Muslim homeland in the subcontinent and without his tireless efforts we would not be here today.
In honour of this remarkable leader, King Edward Medical University’s Character Building Society held a small function to commemorate Iqbal’s poetry and philosophical works.
The event was held under the benevolent and stalwart leadership of our beloved Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal T.I. We were honoured with the presence and insightful company of Dr. Amjad Saqib who was also a graduate of King Edward and is currently the Founder and Chief Executive Director of Akhuwat Foundation.
The cabinet of the Character Building Society along with its Staff President Prof. Dr. Saira Afzal partook in this humble event with remarkable sincerity and patriotic zeal. One of the members of CBS Sameer Butt from 4th Year MBBS also recited a Ghazal in honour of the famous poet and philosopher.

Sahiwal Medical College's Literary Society is organizing All Punjab Online Urdu Inter-Collegiate Quiz Competition.

First Online Round will be conducted tomorrow, 22nd of September 2020, at 10:30am through Zoom Cloud Meeting. The schedule of the second round shall be announced later.

Maximum 2 teams from KEMU can participate with 2 members each.
Registration charges are 1000/- per team.
