BNU's Official Dramatics Society. BEADS: The Dramatic Society of Beaconhouse National University (BNU). BeaDs is the way to bring Drama to one's life.

A society founded and created by the students of BNU aiming at the students. Beads foresees and encourages students to challenge their acting sensibilities and showcase them to a larger audience. This society encourages and promotes students who hold the abilities related to dramatics and theatre. Starting from scratch it focuses on initiating workshops, plays, mimes, dance, short films and theat

rics for students in a healthy and productive environment. As Oscar Wilde once said
"I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." It is a platform for those who want to experience their lives in terms of theatrical performances. It serves the purpose of providing an opportunity to explore the real world within oneself.

Another tremendous achievement by BNU BEADS
"Irtiqa" by team BEADS was performed at Kinnaird Dramafest 2024. The mime was designed and directed by Abdullah Moin. "From insufficient apes to the rulers of the world" was the idea of the play. The ensemble cast dressed as primate apes to portray different human emotions and how a need for social community is vital for all primates. Precisely curated and calculated movements synchronized to the play's music brought the audience and the judges in awe, leading to BEADS securing 1st position at the event.

A Standing Ovation for Our Dramatics Stars!
With immense pleasure, I am sharing the news of the outstanding performance of the BEADS team at Quaid-e-Azam University Theatre Festival (Islamabad), setting the stage ablaze and earning two prestigious awards (Best Mime & Best production).
The drama they have woven, the emotions they have stirred and the characters they have brought to life won the hearts of audience and the esteemed judges.

Rooted in economic motives, this illegal practice persists due to fear and caste's influence. Pakistani law imposes a seven year prison term, yet cases remain hidden. Rare rebels face death threats, risking all for freedom.
