Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry 🤝🏭

The Department of Chemical Engineering CUI Lahore Campus had the pleasure of hosting Engr. Ali Raza, Head of Projects, ILF Consulting Engineers, for an insightful interaction with our students.

The objective of the session is to introduce students with ‘Project Management Lifecycle with Chemical Engineering Significance’.

During the session, Engr. Ali Raza shared his valuable industrial expertise, professional experience, and practical insights from the engineering industry. His interaction with the students provided an excellent opportunity to understand how academic knowledge is applied in real-world engineering projects and the skills required for a successful professional career.

The session featured engaging discussions and valuable guidance, encouraging students to broaden their perspective beyond the classroom and better understand the expectations and challenges of the engineering profession.

We sincerely appreciate Engr. Ali Raza for taking the time to interact with our students and for contributing to meaningful industry–academia engagement.

The Department of Chemical Engineering at COMSATS Lahore had the absolute pleasure of welcoming our proud alumnus, Engr. Awais Rasool (FA21 batch), to interact with newly admitted Fall 2026 students during their very first semester.

Currently serving as MTE Corporate HSE at Packages Group and formerly a Graduate Process Design Engineer at Brillante Engineers, Engr. Awais brought a wealth of practical industry knowledge to the session.

As an Aspen Certified User and the Winner of the Inaugural DICCE competition organized by LUMS, he shared high-value insights on technical excellence, career progression, and how to successfully bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Seeing our alumni return to guide, mentor, and motivate our fresh students is a testament to the strong community we build here at COMSATS.
