The School of Peace & Counter Terrorism Studies (SPCTS), Minhaj University Lahore, in collaboration with the Punjab Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (COE-CVE), organized a seminar in connection with International Youth Day 2026 under the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”

The seminar brought together MPhil and PhD scholars to discuss the role of youth in promoting peace, social cohesion, countering violent extremism, and sustainable development. Dr. Hassan Farooq Mashwani, Head SPCTS; Mr. Ghulam Sagheer Shahid, Chief Coordinating Officer, Punjab COE-CVE; and Mr. Imran Shahid, DIG Zonal Commander, Motorway Central-I Zone, Lahore, shared perspectives on youth engagement and approaches to addressing violent extremism.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion with the participating scholars.

Baragali Summer Camp
Students from the School of Sociology and Criminology, MUL participated in educational and cultural visits to the Frontier Force Museum, Baloch Regimental Centre Museum, and Baloch Mess, Abbottabad, as part of the Summer Camp for Criminology Students organized by the University of Peshawar.

The visits provided students with insights into Pakistan’s military history, heritage, and traditions while promoting interaction and learning among Criminology students from universities across Pakistan.

The conference featured Qur’anic recitation, Naat presentations, and a scholarly session on Seerah, emphasizing the timeless values of compassion, justice, patience, honesty, tolerance, and respect for humanity.

The Minhaj Center for Startups and Entrepreneurship (MCSE), Minhaj University Lahore, concluded the Pitch Presentations for Cohort 4, bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs from universities across Pakistan.

Students from MUL, LUMS, COMSATS, University of Loralai, UCP, UMT, and ITU presented innovative startup ideas during two evaluation rounds held on July 23 and August 20, 2026.

The sessions provided young entrepreneurs with an opportunity to present their business concepts before an expert evaluation panel and receive valuable feedback for further development.
