Furniture Designer Required for Dolce Vita Lifestyle Series
Dolce Vita Lifestyle Series, manufacturers and retailers of high end lifestyle furniture and mattresses through stores located at major cities of Pakistan, is looking for highly motivated furniture designers for our retail stores and we request you to advertise/announce this vacancy in your university and recommend potential candidates.
Eligibility: The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree from a reputed institute in furniture designing and at least 2 years of hands on relevant experience with a renowned furniture manufacturing company / brand.
Requirements: Ideal candidate should be able to:
* study, research and plan various styles of furniture design
* find ways to improve furniture items already manufactured
* be informed about latest fashion, design trends and developments in the furniture industry
* select suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, plastic and textiles
* generate sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches or hard prototypes
* use software packages such as Autocad, Inventor, Solidworks and Photoshop
* prepare detailed final designs
* liaison with craftsmen and relevant staff (such as production managers, marketing staff and design engineers) regarding manufacturing process
* evaluate issues such as pricing and fixing costs; purchasing; safety; materials, manufacturing methods and techniques.
