The Al Shadhili Society for Sufism, in collaboration with the Al Shadhili Research Centre for Sufism, Science & Technology, GC University Lahore, successfully organized an online webinar titled “Ramzan aur Sufiya ka Tarz-e-Amal” on Thursday, 5 March 2026 at 2:00 PM via Zoom.
The session formally began with the host welcoming the participants and briefly introducing the theme of the webinar. The host highlighted the importance of understanding the spiritual practices and ethical teachings of Sufi scholars during the blessed month of Ramadan and how these traditions continue to inspire contemporary society.
The Guest Speaker, Prof. Dr. Humayun Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic & Oriental Learning at GC University Faisalabad (GCUF), delivered an insightful and thought-provoking lecture. In his address, he elaborated on the spiritual discipline, devotion, and ethical practices of Sufi scholars during Ramadan, emphasizing the importance of self-purification, remembrance of Allah, and moral refinement. He further explained how the teachings of Sufism encourage balance between spiritual growth and social responsibility in modern life.
The webinar was attended by students, scholars, and participants from various academic backgrounds, who joined the session with great interest. The discussion provided a valuable opportunity for participants to reflect upon the deeper spiritual dimensions of Ramadan and the timeless wisdom embedded in Sufi traditions.
Towards the end of the session, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Naeem, Director of the Al Shadhili Research Centre for Sufism, Science & Technology, delivered the concluding remarks, appreciating the guest speaker for his enlightening presentation and acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team. He also expressed gratitude to all participants for their active presence and engagement.
