I am truly humbled and honored.

My beloved PhD students of *Semester 1 & 2* organized a beautiful Teacher's Day celebration. It was a touching gesture that I will always cherish.

A beautiful and memorable Teachers’ Day celebration arranged by our wonderful BS English Semester 5 students. Their thoughtful gesture, warm wishes, and sincere appreciation made the occasion truly special.
It was a pleasure to celebrate this meaningful moment together with my respected colleagues and dear students. Such moments remind us that teaching is not only about sharing knowledge, but also about building connections, inspiring minds, and learning from one another.

🎓 An Inspiring Academic Exchange in My Classroom | AI Tools for Research

It was a pleasure and privilege to welcome Dr Raaj from LEADS University, UK, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ahmad Azhar, Chairperson, Department of English, Lahore Leads University, to my class.

Same Words, Different Meanings — Why?
You see 6. I see 9. But who is actually right?
This simple example reveals something much deeper about how we understand words, ideas and concepts.
Our interpretation can be influenced by our position, angle, experience, exposure, education, cognition and perspective.
The same idea may therefore be understood differently by different people.

6 or 9? This Time, Context Decides the Meaning
Sometimes the meaning is not decided by the reader. The context decides it.
In the previous video, we explored how our position, perspective, education, exposure and cognition can influence how we understand something.
But what happens when context itself determines the meaning?
In this example, the same symbol is placed after the sentence:
“The book is on the table…”
Suddenly, the surrounding context tells us how to understand the symbol—and simply changing its position does not change its meaning.

It was a privilege to serve as an external examiner for the MPhil English (Linguistics) thesis viva, Riphah Institute of Language and Literature, Riphah International University, Lahore.
Ms. Misbah Shafiq successfully defended her research titled:
“Analyzing the Impact of English Language Dominance on Urdu at Secondary Level”
The study explores the complex relationship between English dominance, Urdu language status, educational practices, and the perceptions of students, teachers, and parents through a mixed-methods research approach.
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to:
