The University of Management and Technology (UMT) successfully concluded a five-day mission to Singapore led by Dr. Sidra Tariq Jamil, marking a significant step in strengthening international collaboration, academic exchange, and global engagement for SMCS and CFMC.
During the visit, Dr. Sidra engaged with key global leaders, policymakers, diplomats, and renowned academicians including:
• Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Gan Kim Yong
• Emeritus Senior Minister and former Prime Minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong
• Former President of Singapore and present Chancellor of the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Madam Halimah Yacob
• Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Her Excellency Ms Rabia Shafiq
• A renowned Southeast Asian expert and an influential Political Scientist, Prof Mustafa Izzuddin
• The Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Indonesia in Singapore, Mr Thomas Siregar along with his colleague Ms Eka from Indonesia’s Education Ministry
• Head of Ba’alwie Mosque and former President of Inter-Religious Council (IRO), Imam Habib Hassan Al-Attas
• A well-respected philanthropist and the President of Muslim Kidney Action Association (MKAC), Mr Ameerali Abdeali
• A distinguished Muslim scholar and former counsellor at Ministry of Education Singapore, Dr Bibi Jan Mohamed Ayyub
• Senior Fellow and Head of Social Cohesion Research Programme in Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Dr Leong Chan-Hoong
• Professor of Crisis Communication and Associate Dean of Partnerships and Engagements at the Singapore Management University(SMU), Prof Augustine Pang
• Acting Chair of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Dr Lee Chu Keong
• Head of Studies in Inter-Religious Relations in Plural Societies (SRP) Programme in Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Mr Mohamed Nassir
• Associate Professor in the Department of Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Prof Elmie Nekmat
• Chairman of Global Radiance Group, Mr Abdul Lateef Siddiq
