University of Rasul Organizes Seminar on Information Disorder and National Security
The University of Rasul, in collaboration with the Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI), organized a seminar titled “Misinformation, Disinformation, and Malinformation: Information Disorder as a Threat to National Security.”
Dr. Muhammad Yousaf, Associate Professor at the Centre for Media and Communication Studies, University of Gujrat, delivered an insightful talk on the impact of misinformation, fake news, and AI-generated deepfakes on society and national security. He emphasized media literacy, critical thinking, fact-checking, and responsible digital communication to counter information disorder.
Dr. Bilal, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, thanked the guest speaker for his valuable contribution. Muhammad Arslan moderated the session and highlighted the importance of effective measures to address information disorder and promote social cohesion.
The seminar underscored the importance of informed, responsible, and critical engagement in today’s digital environment.
