إِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

With profound grief and sorrow, the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology,
Hazara University, Mansehra announces the sad demise of our beloved student,

Mr. Abbas Khan
Student of Software Engineering
Department of CS & IT

According to details, yesterday night he met with a tragic road accident near Abbottabad
while riding his motorcycle, when a heavy loader hit him. He was shifted to hospital in
critical condition but could not survive and passed away today before Jumu'ah prayer.

Just yesterday he was present in the department and attended his classes. His sudden
departure has turned this day into a day of deep sorrow for the entire CS&IT family.
He was a bright, humble, and beautiful soul.

His Namaz-e-Janaza and burial will be held at his ancestral village in Thakot.

The Department of CS&IT expresses heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May Allah (SWT)
grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah and give strength and patience to his
family to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen.

students complained:
What was supposed to be one of the most memorable days of our academic journey turned into one of the most disappointing because of the complete negligence and irresponsible management of our HOD and department. As final-year students of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, we expected at least a basic and respectful farewell, but there was no proper seating arrangement, no microphone, no sound system, and students had to arrange chairs for themselves in the extreme heat. The poor planning and disrespectful treatment were so frustrating that most International Relations students boycotted the event, leaving behind empty chairs and only a handful of people.
The most disappointing part was our HOD, who failed to manage the event properly, arrived at the very end, and didn’t even address us or appreciate the students. Many teachers were absent as well, making it even worse. To top it all off, handing us a pack of biryani in our hands without any proper sitting arrangement felt highly disrespectful, as if our years in this department meant nothing. A farewell is supposed to honor students and give them memories to cherish, but sadly this event only gave us disappointment and showed how little value the department gave to its own students.
