A stall exhibition was organized by Women University Shankar Campus Mardan to showcase the talent, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills of students. All affiliated colleges were invited to participate and arrange their stalls at the exhibition.

Govt Girls Degree College Sheikh Maltoon, Mardan actively participated in the event. The college arranged multiple stalls including food, craft, painting and handmade jewellery. Each stall displayed the hard work and creativity of our students and reflected the cultural and artistic heritage of the region.

Our teaching staff and students attended the event with great enthusiasm. They visited different stalls, appreciated the efforts of participating colleges, and also managed their own stalls effectively. The event provided a valuable platform for students to exhibit their skills, interact with others, and learn from diverse experiences.

The exhibition was well organized and successfully concluded. It promoted creativity, teamwork, and collaboration among affiliated colleges.

The 80th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great zeal and patriotism at Govt Girls Degree College Sheikh Maltoon, Mardan on 14th August 2026.

The program began with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony in the college premises. The national flag was hoisted with respect. Principal, teaching staff, and students attended the event with great enthusiasm. The college was decorated with national flags and green and white buntings.

The main Independence Day function was held in the college main hall. The ceremony commenced with Tilawat-e-Quran Pak, followed by a soulful Naat-e-Rasool (SAW), which created a reverent atmosphere.

Students from various BS disciplines presented a vibrant and well-coordinated programme. Through eloquent speeches, they highlighted the true meaning of freedom, paid homage to the sacrifices of our national leaders, and emphasized the responsibilities of youth in building a progressive nation. The speeches were followed by inspiring national songs rendered with patriotic spirit, which filled the hall with zeal and renewed the audience’s love for the country and its heroes.

The event was concluded with the address by Principal, Professor Farhat Jabeen. She emphasized the core values of honesty, truthfulness, patriotism, unity, faith and discipline. She urged the students to adopt these values in their lives and work together for the development of the country. She also appreciated the efforts of the staff and students for making the celebration memorable. The proceedings concluded with the collective recitation of the National Anthem.

The ceremony concluded with a cake cutting ceremony to mark the 79th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence.

Youm-e-Istehsal, observed annually on August 5th, is a day of solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination. It commemorates the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status by the Indian government on August 5, 2019. Pakistanis and Kashmiris worldwide mark this day with rallies, seminars, and media productions to express support for the Kashmiris and opposition to India's actions.On August 5th, GGDC Sheikh Maltoon Mardan observed Youm-e-Istehsal with enthusiasm and solidarity, in accordance with the directives of the Higher Education Department. The college staff and students participated in a solidarity walk within the college premises, carrying banners and placards that highlighted their support for the Kashmiris. This event aimed to raise awareness about the Kashmir issue and demonstrate GGDC Sheikh Maltoon Mardan's commitment to standing with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.By observing Youm-e-Istehsal, GGDC Sheikh Maltoon Mardan and other institutions across Pakistan demonstrate their solidarity with the Kashmiris and emphasize the need for a peaceful resolution to the dispute.
