Subject: Observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day and Black Day at Government Boys Degree College Mehrabpur

The Government Boys Degree College Mehrabpur, in collaboration with the Mehrabpur Taluka Administration, observed Kashmir Solidarity Day and Black Day on 27th October 2025 to express firm solidarity with the people of Jammu & Kashmir and to condemn the forceful occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces on 27th October 1947.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. A large number of students, teachers, and officials from the Taluka Administration attended the event with great enthusiasm and national spirit.

Speakers highlighted the historical background of the Kashmir issue, emphasizing that 27th October is marked as Black Day every year across Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir to denounce India’s illegal occupation and to reaffirm Pakistan’s continued political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people.

During the ceremony, students of Government Boys Degree College Mehrabpur presented posters, speeches, and tableaus depicting the sacrifices and ongoing struggle of the Kashmiri people. They called for global attention toward human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) and the implementation of United Nations resolutions guaranteeing the right of self-determination for Kashmiris.

In his concluding remarks, the Administration of Government Boys Degree College Mehrabpur appreciated the cooperation of the Mehrabpur Taluka Administration and lauded the participation of students and faculty. He emphasized that peace in South Asia cannot be achieved without a fair and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with international law and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

“The people of Pakistan, including our youth, stand united with the brave people of Kashmir. The sacrifices made for freedom and justice will never be forgotten. This day reminds us of our duty to continue supporting the cause of Kashmir with unwavering faith and commitment.”

Today, Government Boys Degree College Mehrabpur celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) with great religious devotion and enthusiasm. The ceremony began with the glorious name of Allah Almighty, followed by the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by students.

Afterwards, students presented melodious Na’ats in praise of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). A highlight of the program was when Professor Mir Jameel Hussain, senior faculty member, recited a touching Naat-e-Maqboola Rasool Pak (S.A.W), which deeply moved the audience.

In the next segment, students delivered thoughtful speeches in English, Urdu, and Sindhi, focusing on the noble life, teachings, and character of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). The audience warmly appreciated their efforts.

The final part of the program featured a Quiz Competition on Islamic history and Seerat-un-Nabi (S.A.W), in which students performed remarkably well. Later, Professor Sardar Ali Rind addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of following the path of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W).

Following this, prizes were distributed among the winners and participants of the competitions. The honorable Principal, Professor Zamir Ali Chandio, addressed the audience, emphasizing the significance of celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) with true spirit and practicing the teachings of Islam in daily life.

The ceremony concluded with an emotional and heartfelt Dua-e-Khair led by Professor Irfan Sarwar, praying for the prosperity of the students, the college, and the nation.

The entire program reflected the love and reverence of teachers and students for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), creating a spiritual and inspiring environment across the campus.

Today, an Oath Taking Ceremony was held at Government Boys Degree College Mehrabpur during the morning assembly. The ceremony began with great enthusiasm and a disciplined gathering of students and staff members.

On this occasion, the newly selected Monitors/CRs, Prefects, and the Head Boy were first honored with sashes by the senior professors of the college. After receiving their sashes, they formally took their oath to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and responsibility.

Later, our respected Principal, Professor Zamir Ali Chandio, addressed the students and prefects. In his inspiring speech, he emphasized the importance of discipline, punctuality, and sincerity in fulfilling their roles. He reminded them that leadership is not just about authority but also about setting a positive example for others. He also encouraged the prefect body to work as a bridge between teachers and students to maintain a healthy educational environment in the college.

The ceremony concluded with a pledge of commitment and applause from the audience, marking a memorable day for the students of Government Boys Degree College Mehrabpur.

Defence Day Celebration

Today, Defence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and national spirit at Government Boys Degree College, Mehrabpur. A large number of teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students actively participated in the program to pay tribute to the defenders of our beloved country.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a heartfelt Naat-e-Rasool (S.A.W.). Students then presented passionate speeches and moving Milli Naghmas, expressing their love for Pakistan and deep respect for the Pakistan Army.

While addressing the gathering, the Honourable Principal, Professor Zamir Ali Chandio, said:

> “The 6th of September reminds us of the bravery, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment of our soldiers who protect our homeland day and night. Our Pakistan Army is not just a force; it is the shield of our independence and the pride of our nation.”

He further emphasized:

> “Nations survive only when they remember their heroes. It is our duty to acknowledge the sacrifices of our martyrs and ghazis, and to instill in our youth the same courage and determination.”
