یومِ تکبیر پاکستان کی تاریخ کا ایک عظیم اور ناقابلِ فراموش دن ہے، جب ۲۸ مئی ۱۹۹۸ء کو پاکستان نے کامیاب ایٹمی دھماکے کر کے اپنی دفاعی صلاحیت، قومی خودمختاری اور وقارِ ملت کو دنیا کے سامنے ثابت کیا۔ یہ دن قومی عزم، اتحاد اور حب الوطنی کی علامت کے طور پر منایا جاتا ہے۔
ایمرسن یونیورسٹی ملتان اس تاریخی موقع پر قوم کے ان عظیم سائنسدانوں، قائدین اور افواجِ پاکستان کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتی ہے جن کی انتھک محنت، قربانیوں اور ولولہ انگیز قیادت نے پاکستان کو ناقابلِ تسخیر دفاعی قوت بنایا۔

Emerson University Multan Holds Prize Distribution for Sports Gala

Emerson University Multan held the prize distribution ceremony of its Sports Gala at Al-Ghazali Hall.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hassaan Khaliq Qureshi attended as chief guest and distributed prizes to winning students. Deputy Director Sports Dr. Imran Sipra organized the event. University officials said the gala aimed to promote sportsmanship and extracurricular engagement among students.

ایمرسن یونیورسٹی ملتان اور فارمرز ڈویلپمنٹ آرگنائزیشن کے اشتراک سے ڈھائی ہزار پودے اور شمسی توانائی سے چلنے والا ٹیوب ویل نصب

ایمرسن یونیورسٹی ملتان اور فارمرز ڈویلپمنٹ آرگنائزیشن کے اشتراک سے ماحولیاتی تحفظ، شہری جنگلات کے قیام اور پائیدار ترقی کے فروغ کے لیے اہم منصوبے کا آغاز کر دیا گیا، جس کے تحت یونیورسٹی کیمپس میں ڈھائی ہزار مقامی و دیسی پودے لگا دیے گئے جبکہ شمسی توانائی سے چلنے والا ٹیوب ویل بھی نصب کر دیا گیا ہے۔
اس سلسلے میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حسان خالق قریشی اور فارمرز ڈویلپمنٹ آرگنائزیشن کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر غلام مصطفیٰ نے منصوبے کی سائٹ کا دورہ کیا اور جاری سرگرمیوں کا جائزہ لیا۔
حکام کے مطابق اس منصوبے کا مقصد یونیورسٹی کیمپس کو ماحول دوست بنانا، موسمیاتی تبدیلی کے اثرات میں کمی لانا اور طلبہ میں ماحولیاتی شعور کو فروغ دینا ہے۔ معاہدے کے تحت قائم کیے جانے والے شہری جنگل سے نہ صرف ماحول بہتر ہوگا بلکہ طلبہ کو عملی طور پر ماحولیات سے متعلق سرگرمیوں میں حصہ لینے کا موقع بھی ملے گا۔
اس موقع پر بتایا گیا کہ فارمرز ڈویلپمنٹ آرگنائزیشن یونیورسٹی کے طلبہ اور عملے کو جنگلاتی انتظام، ماحولیاتی تحفظ اور پائیداری سے متعلق خصوصی تربیت فراہم کرے گی۔ مزید برآں شہری علاقوں میں بارش کے پانی کے مؤثر استعمال اور نکاسی آب کے جدید نظام سے متعلق آگاہی کے لیے “سپنج سٹی” کے عنوان سے ایک خصوصی کورس بھی نصاب میں شامل کیا جائے گا۔
اس تقریب میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حسان خالق قریشی،سی ای او پروجیکٹ غلام مصطفی،ایمرسن پروجیکٹ فوکل پرسن ڈاکٹر احمد وقاص، پروجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر محمد عثمان واہلہ، دیگر فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلبہ نے بھی حصہ لیا اور پودے لگائے۔
وائس چانسلر نے اس موقع پر کہا کہ یہ اقدام اقوام متحدہ کے پائیدار ترقیاتی اہداف کے مطابق ماحولیاتی بہتری اور موسمیاتی تبدیلی سے نمٹنے کے لیے اہم پیش رفت ثابت ہوگا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ تعلیمی اداروں کو ماحول دوست سرگرمیوں میں عملی کردار ادا کرنا چاہیے تاکہ نئی نسل میں ماحولیات کے حوالے سے ذمہ داری اور شعور پیدا کیا جا سکے۔
تقریب میں یونیورسٹی کے اساتذہ، طلبہ اور فارمرز ڈویلپمنٹ آرگنائزیشن کے نمائندگان کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔

Emerson University Multan Holds Seminar on Quality Assurance and HEC PSG 2023 Guidelines

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Emerson University Multan organized a seminar on "Program Review for Effectiveness & Enhancement under Pakistan Precepts, Standards and Guidelines (PSG 2023)" at the University Seminar Hall.

Held under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hassan Khaliq Qureshi, the seminar aimed to equip faculty with updated methodologies to strengthen program delivery and align institutional practices with international quality standards.

Keynote speaker Dr. Rao Mazhar Hussain, Additional Director QEC at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, outlined the PSG 2023 framework. He stressed that systematic program reviews are vital for institutional excellence, curriculum improvement, and fostering a culture of continuous quality enhancement in higher education.
QEC Director Dr. Adnan Tahir welcomed participants and reaffirmed the cell’s commitment to rigorous evaluation across departments. He said swift adaptation to HEC’s revised guidelines is essential to safeguard student outcomes and maintain the university’s competitiveness.
Registrar Dr. Muhammad Farooq delivered the vote of thanks, commending Deputy Directors QEC Dr. Sehrish Ashraf and Dr. Rehana Sardar for organizing the session.Faculty from multiple departments attended and engaged in discussions on quality benchmarks and implementation strategies.

EUM Faculty Complete Five-Day Workshop on National Security and Strategic Leadership

Faculty members from Emerson University Multan participated in a five-day workshop on “National Security and Strategic Leadership WKSP-26” held at the Community Hall, Garrison Public Library Multan. The workshop brought together academics and arm forces officials to discuss contemporary security challenges and strategic leadership practices.

Representing Emerson University Multan were 1-Dr. Qurat ul Ain Abbas, Director of Student Affairs; 2- Dr. Naeem, Additional Director of Press, Media and Public Relations; 3- Dr. Sohail Raza, Director of IT; and 4- Dr. Uzma Niaz, Deputy Director of the Women Development Centre. The participants engaged actively in sessions aimed at strengthening institutional understanding of national security frameworks and leadership strategies.

EUM Signs MoU with FDO to Develop Urban Forest, Advance Sustainability

Emerson University Multan hosted an MoU signing ceremony with the Farmers Development Organization (FDO) to launch a joint initiative for environmental sustainability on campus.

The agreement was signed in the Vice Chancellor’s Committee Room by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hassaan Khaliq Qureshi on behalf of Emerson University Multan, and CEO Ghulam Mustafa on behalf of FDO. Focal person from Emerson University Dr. Ahmad Waqas and FCRP Project Manager Muhammad Usman Wahlala and other officials from Emerson University were also present.

Under the partnership, 2,500 indigenous plant species will be planted to establish an urban forest within the university grounds. The project aims to expand green cover, enhance biodiversity, and create a healthier environment for students and staff. FDO has also installed a solar-powered tube well at the campus to provide a sustainable water source for the plantation and future green initiatives. As part of the agreement, FDO will conduct training for students, faculty, and staff on urban forest management and broader sustainability practices.

A key component of the MoU is the introduction of a "Sponge City" course into the student curriculum to build awareness and technical knowledge on urban water management in Multan. University officials said the collaboration will support practical climate action on campus in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

EUM Holds Competition to Celebrate Pak-China Friendship

Emerson University Multan organized an essay writing and poster competition to commemorate 75 years of Pakistan–China friendship. Students participated through writings and artwork reflecting regional peace, development, and Chinese culture and calligraphy. The initiative aimed to foster academic and artistic expression while strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries. It was organized by society under the umbrella of the Directorate of Student Affairs.

EUM Hosts Seminar on 75 Years of Pak-China Friendship

Emerson University Multan organized a seminar titled “Pakistan–China Friendship: A Timeless Partnership for Regional Stability and Development” to mark 75 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The event highlighted the long-standing bond of trust, cooperation, and economic connectivity between Pakistan and China, with faculty and students participating in discussions on regional stability and shared prosperity.The seminar was organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs.
