Department of Applied Psychology students visited the Violence Against Women Center (VAWC) Multan
A group of students along with three faculty members from Department of Applied Psychology visited the Violence Against Women Center (VAWC) in Multan to participate in an awareness session in support of the global "16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence." The session was organized to educate participants about the prevalence and impact of gender-based violence and to raise awareness of the services and resources available to survivors. The main objective of the visit was to provide a practical learning experience to introduce students about the services offered by the VAWC, to provide a deeper understanding of the types and impact of violence against women, discuss legal frameworks designed to protect women and combat gender-based violence and to raise awareness of available support services for survivors of domestic violence. At the end of the visit, Dr. Sadia Musharraf thanked Ms. Muneeza Manzoor, senior psychologist and manager, Ms. Hira Ahmad, Act-manager, and the team of Violence against Women Centre (VAWC) for the wonderful and engaging awareness session, warm hospitality and excellent services.
