بہاؤالدین زکریا یونیورسٹی، ملتان کی فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری سائنسز میں سینیئر سمسٹر کے طلباء کی تیار کردہ مصنوعات کی ایک خصوصی پروڈکٹ ایگزیبیشن کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جو ڈین فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فقیر محمد کی ہدایت پر منعقد ہوئی۔

اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عرفان انور، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سلیم اختر، اور ڈاکٹر اعجاز احمد نے طلباء کی تخلیقی صلاحیتوں، جدت اور عملی مہارتوں کو سراہا۔ مقررین نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ یونیورسٹیوں کا مقصد صرف کتابی علم فراہم کرنا نہیں بلکہ طلباء میں انٹرپرینیورشپ اور عملی سوچ کو فروغ دینا بھی ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ طلباء کو “نوکری تلاش کرنے والے نہیں بلکہ نوکری پیدا کرنے والے” بننا چاہیے۔

یہ نمائش ڈاکٹر تنویر احمد اور ڈاکٹر سعید مرتضیٰ کی بہترین رہنمائی اور طلباء کی محنت، تخلیقی سوچ اور عملی صلاحیتوں کا شاندار مظہر تھی۔ 🌟

Educational Visit of DVM students at FVS BZU

The students of 8th Semester DVM from The University of Agriculture Dera Ismail Khan visited the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan for a two-day educational study tour held on 12th and 13th May. The visiting students were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Faqir Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Akhtar, Chairman Department of Clinical Sciences, while the visit was coordinated by the focal person Dr. Ejaz Ahmad.

A key highlight of the visit was an advanced practical session conducted by Dr. Ejaz Ahmad, who demonstrated modern reproductive biotechnologies, including laparoscopic artificial insemination (AI), o**m pick-up (OPU), embryo transfer (ET) in goats, ultrasonography in large and small ruminants, electroejaculation, semen cryopreservation, and computer-assisted semen analysis (CASA), providing valuable hands-on exposure to contemporary veterinary reproductive techniques.

Prof. Dr. Irfan Anwar briefed the students on the significance and working of the University Diagnostic Laboratory (UDL) in veterinary diagnostics and disease investigation. In addition, Dr. Atif Nisar, Dr. Akbar Shahid, Dr. Irtaza Hussain, Dr. Mian Muhammad Awais, and Dr. Abubakar Sufyan facilitated the students during visits to various laboratories, including Microbiology, Parasitology, and Nutrition laboratories.

The students also visited livestock and poultry farms, including horse, large ruminant, small ruminant, and poultry units, gaining practical insight into animal management and farm operations. The study tour proved highly informative and significantly enhanced the students’ practical knowledge and professional understanding of modern veterinary sciences. The visiting delegation was accompanied by Dr. Tayyab, Dr. Babar, and Dr. Fateh Ullah from The University of Agriculture Dera Ismail Khan.

🐄 Educational Visit of DVM Students to Abedin International (Pvt.) Limited, Lahore

DVM students from the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan, visited Abedin International (Pvt.) Limited Lahore as part of a practical field-learning activity.

The visit provided valuable hands-on exposure to abattoir operations, including ante-mortem and post-mortem inspection, hygienic meat production, food safety, zoonotic disease prevention, animal welfare, and slaughterhouse management practices.

The educational tour was organized under the guidance of Dr. Irtaza Hussain, Dr. Sheraz Ahmed Bhatti, and Dr. Shoaib Azeem. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. Prof Dr Faqir Muhammad and Chairman Department of Pathobiology, Dr. Atif Nisar Ahmed, appreciated the management of Abedin International for their hospitality and support in providing students with practical professional exposure.

Such visits play an important role in strengthening students’ practical skills, professional confidence, and understanding of One Health and public health responsibilities.

🌍🐾 World Veterinary Day 2026 Celebrated at FVS-BZU Multan 🩺🌱
Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan, in collaboration with Pakistan, organized a meaningful event to commemorate World Veterinary Day 2026 under the theme:

“Veterinarians: Guardians of Food and Health.”

The event featured an awareness walk and a seminar, led by Prof. Dr. Faqir Muhammad, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences (FVS-BZU), with active participation from senior faculty members and final-year DVM students. 👏
