A meeting of the Advanced Studies & Research Board (AS&RB) was convened today on September 17, 2026, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Shabbar Atiq, Vice Chancellor.

Dr. Safdar Raza, Director Postgraduate Studies, presented the formal agenda before the Board.

The agenda encompassed the following key items:
- Review of progress of ongoing MS/ Ph.D. research programs
- Consideration of important policy matters pertaining to postgraduate studies and research
- Deliberations on strategic planning for enhancing the quality and impact of research

All esteemed members of the Board actively participated in the deliberations and gave valuable input on each agenda item. After thorough discussion, several important decisions were taken unanimously in the best interest of the institution and for the promotion of quality research.

In his concluding remarks, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shabbar Atiq appreciated the active participation of all members and emphasized the pivotal role of AS&RB in maintaining high academic and research standards. He stressed the need for aligning research with contemporary challenges and national needs.

🤝 A New Chapter of Collaboration Begins! | ایک نئے تعلیمی و تحقیقی تعاون کا آغاز

Today, NFC Institute of Engineering & Technology (NFC-IET), Multan and The Government Sadiq College Women University (GSCWU), Bahawalpur successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in education, research, innovation, SDGs, renewable energy, capacity building, and community development.

The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Vice Chancellor, GSCWU Bahawalpur, and Prof. Dr. Shabbar Atiq, Vice Chancellor, NFC-IET Multan, marking an important milestone towards academic excellence, research collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development.**

The Department of Business Administration, NFC-IET Multan, organized an orientation program for newly admitted BBA and BS Accounting & Finance students.

In this orientation session students were introduced to the academic environment, Institute facilities, departmental activities, and available opportunities.

Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Shabbar Atiq welcomed the first batch of BS A&F and encouraged them to pursue academic excellence, professional development, discipline, and co-curricular activities.

Dr. Sana-ur-Rehman. Head, Department of Business Administration highlighted the department’s academic programs, faculty support, and the importance of developing professional and leadership skills.

Faculty members also welcomed the students and interacted with them. The program concluded with a guided visit to the university and library.

The department warmly welcomes all new students and wishes them a successful academic journey.
