πŸŽ‰ New Publication Alert! πŸ“’

We are excited to share that our research article, "Development and Evaluation of Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) Models to Investigate the Effect of CYP2D6 Polymorphism on Metoclopramide Systemic Exposure," has been published in Pharmaceuticals 🧬 (Q1 Journal | Impact Factor: 5.7).

πŸ”¬ What did we find?
βœ… Developed and verified PBPK models for multiple CYP2D6 genotypes.
βœ… Successfully predicted metoclopramide exposure across genetic variants.
βœ… Observed up to a 2.88-fold increase in AUC in reduced-function CYP2D6 variants compared with the wild-type genotype.
βœ… Demonstrated the potential of PBPK modeling to support genotype-guided dosing and precision medicine.

πŸ’‘ This work highlights how mechanistic modeling can bridge pharmacogenomics and individualized therapy, paving the way for safer and more effective drug dosing.

πŸŽ‰ Publication Alert!

Congratulations to our entire research group on the publication of our latest systematic review:

Clinical Pharmacokinetics of Afatinib: A Systematic Review

πŸ“° Published in Current Opinion in Pharmacology (Q1 Journal | Impact Factor: 5.5)

Our review synthesizes evidence from 24 clinical studies, demonstrating that afatinib exposure is significantly influenced by dose, renal impairment, repeated dosing, diarrhea-associated toxicity, and P-gp-mediated drug interactions. These findings support precision dosing and future PBPK model development in patients with NSCLC.

πŸ“’ We are excited to share our latest article published in Xenobiotica:

β€œExploring the Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Third-Generation Cephalosporin, Cefotaxime: A Systematic Review”

πŸ”¬ This review summarizes the key PK/PD characteristics of cefotaxime, including dose-response relationships, altered clearance in renal impairment, and its time-dependent antibacterial activity.

πŸ’‘ Our findings may help optimize cefotaxime dosing and improve safer clinical use.
