ORIC QUEST Successfully Convenes Its First Steering Committee Meeting
The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, successfully convened the first meeting of its Steering Committee on 28 July 2026 at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat.

The Committee reviewed ORIC’s institutional progress and preparations for HEC recognition, the Five-Year Strategic Plan 2026–2031, research funding and patents, organizational arrangements, and proposed frameworks for research ethics, intellectual property, technology transfer and commercialization.
The proposed establishment of the QUEST Business Incubation Centre under HEC’s FY 2026–27 programme was also discussed. Members offered valuable recommendations for strengthening startup support, industry engagement, commercialization pathways, institutional governance and sustainable external partnerships.
