Subject: Honored Panelist: Principal Cadet College Palandri at the 2nd National Round Table
​We are pleased to share that Brigadier Wajid Qayyum Paracha, SI(M), Principal Cadet College Palandri, was requested as an expert Panelist at the 2nd National Round Table held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Rawalpindi.
​Organized by the Association For Academic Quality (AFAQ), the conference brought together educational leaders to discuss the critical topic of “Emerging Trends, Practices, Challenges & Solutions for SLO-Based Assessment.”
​During the panel session, Brigadier Paracha shared his vast institutional experiences and provided deep wisdom on transitioning assessment models. He emphasized that for true educational quality, the focus must be on robust Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) that promote conceptual clarity, analytical skills, and real-world application, rather than traditional rote memorization.
​We are incredibly proud that our leadership continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of education in Pakistan, and we are committed to bringing these leading-edge practices to our cadets.

A Warm Welcome to the 29th Entry – Cadet College Pallandri

Cadet College Pallandri proudly welcomed its 29th Entry with great enthusiasm and dignity. The arrival of newly selected cadets marked the beginning of a new journey filled with discipline, learning, and character building.

The cadets and their parents were warmly received by the college administration. A comprehensive briefing session was conducted by the Vice Principal, Mr. Amjid Ali, who guided the parents and cadets about the college system, academic structure, discipline, and overall training environment.

Later, the Principal of Cadet College Pallandri, Brigadier (R) Wajid Qayum Paracha, SI(M), addressed the gathering. In his inspiring speech, he highlighted the significance of cadet colleges in shaping young minds into responsible, confident, and patriotic citizens. He emphasized the core values of discipline, integrity, and excellence, and assured the parents that their children are in safe hands.

The Principal reassured the parents with a strong commitment that, InshaAllah, the institution will nurture these young cadets and return them as bright individuals and responsible human beings, ready to serve the nation with honor and dignity.

The cadets of Cadet College Pallandri had the privilege of visiting the prestigious Army School of Music in Abbottabad. The visit proved to be an enriching and inspiring experience, offering cadets a glimpse into the discipline, tradition, and excellence that define this esteemed institution.
We are especially grateful to Maj Siraj Tipu, an esteemed alumnus (Ex-Pallandrian), whose exceptional hospitality, warmth, and respect made this visit truly memorable. His dedication and connection with his alma mater reflect the true spirit of Cadet College Pallandri.

📍 Visit to Army School of Music & Museum, Abbottabad
The Principal of Cadet College Pallandri, Brig (R) Wajid Qayyum Paracha, SI (M), paid a special visit to the Army School of Music and Museum, Abbottabad.
During the visit, he toured various sections of the institution and observed the high standards of professional music training, discipline, and modern facilities. He appreciated the role of the institution in producing highly skilled military musicians who contribute significantly to national and military ceremonies.
He also visited the museum, where the rich history, traditions, and musical heritage of the Pakistan Army are beautifully preserved. He commended the professionalism, dedication, and quality of training being imparted at the institution.
📌 Historical Background:
During the visit, it was highlighted that the Army School of Music has a distinguished history dating back to 1952, when it was first established at Cherat by a British music expert, Captain Donald Keeling, under the name School of Military Music.
The institution was subsequently shifted to Lahore in 1954, and later permanently relocated to Abbottabad in 1956, where it continues to function as the central music training institute of the Pakistan Army.
This rich legacy reflects a strong foundation laid in the early years, blending British-era military music traditions with Pakistan’s national spirit and identity.
