☀️Heat Stroke Awareness☀️

As temperatures continue to rise, HIMS College of Nursing encourages everyone to stay alert and take simple precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones from heat stroke.

💧 Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
🧢 Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
🌳 Stay in cool or shaded areas whenever possible.
☀️ Avoid direct sun exposure between **11:00 AM and 4:00 PM**.
🚫 Never leave children, older adults, or pets inside parked vehicles.

⚠️ Warning Signs of Heat Stroke:
• High body temperature
• Hot, red, dry skin
• Severe headache
• Dizziness or confusion
• Rapid pulse
• Fainting or loss of consciousness

If you suspect someone is experiencing heat stroke:
✅ Move them to a cool place.
✅ Cool their body with cold water or wet cloths.
✅ Seek emergency medical attention immediately.

A valuable learning experience for the students of BS Nursing Semester 1 (Batch 5), Under the supervision Mr. Sir Muhammad Sheheyar, HIMS College of Nursing, during their educational study visit to the Biochemistry Laboratory, University of Agriculture Peshawar. The visit provided practical exposure to advanced laboratory equipment and techniques, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications in Medical Biochemistry. We appreciate the support and cooperation of the Department of Biochemistry for making this educational activity a success.
