BUITEMS & Motorway Police Agree to Strengthen Institutional Cooperation

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Motorway Police Dr. Quraish Khan met with Engr. Prof. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor, BUITEMS, to discuss opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the two organizations.

Both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest and to formalize the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The proposed collaboration will provide a framework for future initiatives focused on knowledge exchange, professional development, capacity building, and institutional cooperation.

The meeting reflects BUITEMS’ commitment to building meaningful partnerships with public-sector institutions for academic excellence and professional development.

BUITEMS Organizes Training Workshop on Defensive Driving & Road Safety
The Directorate of Human Resource Management – Training & Development (T&D), BUITEMS, in collaboration with TOYOTA Chiltan Motors, Quetta, and National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP), Balochistan, organized a professional training workshop on Defensive Driving & Road Safety.
The workshop brought together 60 BUITEMS drivers to strengthen their knowledge of defensive driving, vehicle safety, accident prevention, road hazards, and responsible driving practices.
Abdul Qadeem Kakar, Director Administration & General Services, BUITEMS, and Farhan Ahmed Baig, Deputy Director Transport, BUITEMS, led and supported the University drivers during the activity.
At the conclusion, Abdul Qadeem Kakar distributed shields and souvenirs among the training attendees in recognition of their participation.
The initiative reflects BUITEMS’ commitment to professional development, employee welfare, and institutional safety.

BUITEMS Medical Centre Organizes Blood Donation Camp
The BUITEMS Medical Centre organized a Blood Donation Camp on 17 August 2026 in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation and Blood Heroes.
The initiative encouraged voluntary blood donation and promoted a culture of humanitarian service and social responsibility within the BUITEMS community.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez (T.I.) appreciated the initiative and encouraged students, faculty, and staff to actively contribute to humanitarian causes and support those in need.
The camp provided an opportunity for eligible members of the BUITEMS community to donate blood and contribute towards saving lives.

79th Pakistan Independence Day Celebrated at BUITEMS with Patriotic Zeal
The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) celebrated Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with immense patriotic spirit and enthusiasm at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat Lawn.
Held under the theme “جشنِ آزادی، معرکہ حق سے تعمیرِ پاکستان”, the celebration brought together the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Deans, Directors, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and a large number of children.
The ceremony featured the recitation of the Holy Quran, National Anthem, flag-hoisting ceremony, national songs, a student declamation, and cake-cutting.
In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez (T.I.) emphasized that true patriotism lies in academic excellence, unity, integrity, innovation, and service to the nation.
