Dr. Adnan Khaliq — a distinguished academic, researcher, and mentor shaping the future of Food Science and Nutrition at IFST-KFUEIT.

Serving as Assistant Professor and Chief Security Officer (CSO) at KFUEIT, Dr. Adnan Khaliq has been a key part of the Institute of Food Science & Technology since 2018, contributing to its growth into one of South Punjab’s leading centers for Food Science and Human Nutrition education.

Holding a PhD in Food Technology from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and international research experience at Purdue University, USA, Dr. Adnan brings a blend of global exposure, academic excellence, and practical insight to the classroom. With 70+ research publications in renowned national and international journals, his contributions continue to strengthen research, innovation, and professional development within the institute.

Meet Ms. Hina Rasheed, Lecturer at the Institute of Food Science & Technology, KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan. She holds a PhD and M.Sc. (Hons.) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the National Institute of Food Science & Technology, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

With two years of experience as a Research Associate in an HEC-funded project and 15+ publications in reputed journals, she has made valuable contributions to nutrition research and academia. She also brings practical clinical nutrition expertise to student learning.

Ms. Hina played a key role in establishing the department’s Nutrition Clinic, where she provides students with hands-on training in clinical equipment, nutritional assessment, and diet planning. Through her concept-based teaching approach, she helps students build a strong and in-depth understanding of nutrition.

Her dedication to teaching, research, and professional training continues to shape competent and skilled future nutritionists.

Holding an MS (Hons.) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, she has strengthened her expertise through professional certifications, clinical internships, workshops, conferences, and trainings. Meet Ms. Shizza Rehman, Lecturer at the Institute of Food Science & Technology, KFUEIT, whose passion for teaching, research, and student mentorship is helping cultivate the next generation of nutrition experts.

Holding an MSc (Hons.) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, her research focuses on iron-fortified beetroot jam as a sustainable strategy to address iron deficiency. With prior teaching experience at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (RYK Campus), she brings expertise in functional food development, micronutrient fortification, sustainable dietary solutions, and food-based interventions.

Committed to bridging theory with practice, Ms. Shizza actively mentors students through hands-on clinical nutrition training, guiding them in nutritional assessment, diet planning, counseling, and professional practice through the department’s Nutrition Clinic. Her dedication to experiential learning equips students with the skills and confidence needed for successful careers in nutrition and dietetics. She has also contributed to research advancement with 3+ publications.
