Expanding academic connections across borders.

University of Rawalpindi is exploring opportunities for academic and research collaboration with Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) in areas including faculty exchange, joint research, student exchange and collaborative teaching.

During discussions at UAI in Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Fahim Arif, Head of the Department of Computing and Intelligent Systems at UOR, engaged with UAI representatives on potential collaboration in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, alongside broader opportunities for student and faculty mobility.

The engagement reflects UOR’s continued efforts to create meaningful international learning, research and collaboration opportunities for its academic community.

Dr Muhammad Abubakar, Rector, University of Rawalpindi, joined Chairman HEC Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and Vice Chancellors and Rectors from across Islamabad and Rawalpindi for a special demonstration of the CUI Digital Suite at COMSATS University Islamabad.

Hosted by Rector CUI Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar, the session showcased locally developed digital solutions designed to make university governance and operations more efficient, transparent and technology-driven.

The visit provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing among universities and for exploring how indigenous digital solutions can contribute to the continued transformation of Pakistan’s higher education sector.
