People make history when they scale a mountain, ignite a bomb, or refuse to move to the back of the bus or even diverse. So, here we-the SOFDESK team at UET Taxila, are initiating a history (the intentional kind), called as UET Olympiad ’12 with a range of versatile competitions that surely is a platform for certain creativity that allows people to be effective.
[Smart] is an elusive concept. So

in case you have ever had thought of becoming the next Bill Gates, or at least if you think you have a good hand at IT problem solving and programming then this is the platform for you. We bring you a range of IT competition; including IT Quiz, Project exhibition and Speed Programming, that may become a jumpstart for your career in YOUR field. Adding to that, to all the art lovers out there, now is the time to consider what it would take to be a great painter, photographer or director? If you think you know about basic art of sketching or have an expert hand on painting, or your talent needs a creative camera eye expressed through photography or film making? We are providing you all the mediums, your creativity deserve weather it’s a plain chart, a wall to leave a permanent imagine of your creativity or a bunch of true admirers for the piece of your art! It’s not just an IT event; we call it a forum for multitalented people that provide you the platform to show your skills and acquisitive abilities in multi disciplines. So get ready to come across the challengers of being best at both games and sports! Because none of your interests goes unnoticed at UET Taxila, Olympiad’12. So, we are hoping to see more institutions and students with diverse background to take part. All teams will participate in competitive events for the coveted TEAM trophy for the team winning most of the competitions.
