79th Independence Day Celebrations at the University of Sahiwal 🇵🇰
The University of Sahiwal proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with patriotic spirit, national pride, and prayers for the prosperity and progress of the country.
The celebrations commenced with Quran Khwani at the University Mosque, followed by special prayers for the long life, peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.
The first Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at the Vice Chancellor’s House, where the national flag was hoisted with a Guard of Honour presented by the University Security Wing.
The main Independence Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at the Administration Block. The national flag was hoisted by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javaid Akhtar, in the presence of Member Provincial Assembly Malik Qasim Nadeem, Registrar Syed Ghulam Ali Asghar, and senior administrative and academic leadership, including Dr. Amin Abid, Dr. Hafiz Tariq Masood, Dr. Ikram Ahmad, Dr. Asif Nawaz, Dr. Muhammad Rafique, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, Dr. Muhammad Husnain and Dr. Saira Irfan, along with administrative and security staff.
As part of the celebrations, Director Estate Management Dr. Ikram Ahmad and Resident Officer Dr. Hafiz Tariq Masood arranged tree plantation. Prof. Dr. Javaid Akhtar, Malik Qasim Nadeem, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah and Dr. Saira Irfan also participated in a tree plantation activity, symbolizing the shared commitment to a Green and Prosperous Pakistan. Special prayers were offered for the continued progress, peace, and prosperity of the country.
The celebrations concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony marking the 79th Birthday of Pakistan, accompanied by heartfelt wishes for the nation’s continued success and development.
