organized by the Department of Islamic Studies, University of Sargodha, stands as a significant academic achievement. The conference was enriched by the presence and scholarly contributions of distinguished national and international scholars, including Professor Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Professor Dr. Syed Abdul Majid Ghouri, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Qarni, Professor Dr. Qibla Ayaz, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ahmed Al-Awaji, Dr. Imtiaz Chaudhary, Professor Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan Dr. Yunus Jibril Hassan, Hafiz Abdul Hanan, Dr. Muhammad Sanaullah Faraz, Professor Dr. Ghulam Hussain Babar, and Professor Dr. Yasir Arafat Awan. Their insightful deliberations and scholarly perspectives greatly enhanced the intellectual depth and international standing of the conference.

The successful organization of this prestigious academic event is a clear reflection of the scholarly leadership, academic foresight, and prudent stewardship of the current Chairperson, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ferozuddin Shah, whose timely decisions, intellectual guidance, and effective coordination ensured a well-structured, dignified, and intellectually stimulating conference.

The Department of Islamic Studies successfully conducted the Ph.D. viva voce examinations of four research scholars.

1️⃣ Abdul Sattar
successfully defended his dissertation titled “مفسرین کے تفردات: اردو تفاسیر کا ناقدانہ جائزہ” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Farhat Naseem Alvi.External Examinar Dr. Ateeq ur Rehman

2️⃣ Hafiz Muhammad Ibrahim
presented his dissertation titled “A Comparative Study of the Methodologies of Tuhfat al-Abrar by al-Baydawi and Sharh Misbah al-Sunnah by Ibn al-Malik al-Rumi.”

3️⃣ Ata Rasool
defended his dissertation entitled "برصغیر میں خاندانِ نبوی ﷺ سے متعلق مطالعات کا تحقیقی و تنقیدی جائزہ" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Farhat Naseem Alvi.

شعبہ علوم اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف سرگودھا کے زیر اہتمام "ڈیڑھ ہزار سالہ جشنِ ولادتِ مصطفوی ﷺ: امت کی فکری و عملی رہنمائی کے نبوی اصول" کے عنوان سے ایک پروقار کانفرنس منعقد ہوئی۔ تقریب کی صدارت وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر قیصر عباس نے کی۔ انہوں نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ سیرت النبی ﷺ پوری انسانیت کے لیے امن، عدل اور فلاح کا عالمی پیغام ہے اور اسوۂ حسنہ پر عمل ہی امت مسلمہ کی اصل کامیابی کا ذریعہ ہے۔
ممتاز اسلامی اسکالر سید ریاض حسین رضوی نے کہا کہ ہمیں انسانوں سے نہیں بلکہ برائی سے نفرت کرنی چاہیے، کیونکہ سیرتِ نبوی ﷺ کا بنیادی سبق ہی محبت، اخوت اور رواداری ہے۔
ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اسٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد حماد لکھوی نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ حضور ﷺ کی حیات طیبہ عملی زندگی کے ہر شعبے میں مکمل رہنمائی فراہم کرتی ہے۔
ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عربک اسٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر راحیلہ خالد قریشی نے کہا کہ خواتین کی تعلیم و تربیت اور کردار سازی میں نبوی تعلیمات مشعل راہ ہیں۔
چیئرپرسن شعبہ علوم اسلامیہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فرحت نسیم علوی نے کہا پندرہ سو سالہ سفر محض ایک عددی حساب نہیں ہے، یہ موقع ہے اپنے آپ کو پرکھنے کا، اپنے ایمان کو تازہ کرنے کا اور اس عظیم ہستی کی تعلیمات کو اپنی زندگیوں میں دوبارہ زندہ کرنےکا جس نے تاریخ انسانی کا دھارا بدل دیا۔ پندرہ سو سالہ سنگ میل ہمیں یہ یاد دہانی کراتا ہے کہ اگر امت مسلمہ نے واقعی سیرت النبی ﷺ کو اپنا لیا ہوتا تو آج دنیا کے فیصلے کوئی اور نہیں بلکہ امت مسلمہ کے رہنما کر رہے ہوتے۔
تقریب میں اساتذہ، طلبہ اور مختلف شعبہ ہائے زندگی سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد کی بڑی تعداد شریک ہوئی۔

Flood Relief Fundraising at Department of Islamic Studies

The Department of Islamic Studies, University of Sargodha, organized a fundraising campaign to extend support to the flood-affected families. The initiative witnessed active participation from both students and faculty members, who contributed wholeheartedly to this noble cause.

The event was graced by the visit of Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, along with his team. He highly appreciated the efforts of the department and encouraged the continuation of such humanitarian initiatives.

The Annual Dinner of the Islamic Studies Department was a splendid and soul-enriching evening that brought together students, faculty, and honored guests in a celebration of faith, knowledge, and achievement. The event commenced with a warm and respectful welcome to the distinguished guests, whose presence added immense grace and prestige to the occasion. The students, with great passion and dedication, presented a variety of performances including melodious naat recitations, thought-provoking dramas, and cultural presentations that reflected the rich values of Islamic teachings and the intellectual spirit of the department.

The atmosphere was filled with joy, reverence, and a deep sense of unity. A key highlight of the evening was the address by the Head of Department, who eloquently presented a comprehensive report outlining the department’s remarkable academic and extracurricular journey throughout the year. This included national and international seminars, research publications, student achievements, and community engagement activities. The event beautifully showcased the department's commitment to excellence in Islamic education and its efforts to nurture morally upright and intellectually capable individuals. The dinner concluded with heartfelt prayers, laughter, and a sense of shared purpose, leaving everyone inspired and spiritually uplifted.

💠FOSTERING CULTURE OF PEACE THROUGH INTERFAITH HARMONY💠

An interfaith dialogue visit by M.Phil students of comparative Religion from the Department of Islamic Studies to a St xavier Catholic Church on University Road.

The students were welcomed by the church authorities.
The students were taken on a tour of the chapel, where they asked questions about the significance of various sacred artifacts,A Q&A session was held with the Father of the Church, where the students discussed Christianity and its practices.The Father emphasized the importance of promoting interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding.The visit was productive in promoting interfaith understanding, knowledge sharing, and dialogue between different faith communities. It provided opportunities for building relationships between academia and faith leaders, fostering cultural exchange, and appreciation .
